I lose a beloved pet, I get another unique one, I don't want to artificially recreate what I had.

Same with people...

And Jeez, all it takes is one psycho to clone a Hitler or a Stalin...we already have enough unique tyrants around, more we do not need or want!!!

Exactly. To me it seems a dishonor to the individuality of a pet to act as if it's merely a model to take off the shelf.
