Terror threats appear to be on the rise as FEMA has rushed a $1 Billion order of dehydrated food in the event of attacks on domestic targets in the US.

I saw that link at Belmont Club.

You think the Feds might know something we don't?  Obama said awhile ago that the country can "absorb" a terrorist attack.  Given his projection of indecision and weakness abroad, not to mention the wide-open borders, I'd say an attack is more likely than not.

Of course, it's not only the Feds who are buying storable food.  I made a large purchase from Pleasant Hill Grain (http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/foodpak1.aspx) last spring.  I got their Security FoodPak 1, as well as a grain mill and water purifier.  I haven't tried eating any of it yet, but I was satisfied with their service and think I'm probably better off than a lot of people who haven't bought that much dried food.  And it's easier than stocking up on canned food from the supermarket, although I've been doing that too.

The gvt is stocking up so it can feed us in an emergency.
Aren't you relieved?  Now, it's not necessary to spend your hard earned money on survival food, it's possible for you to increase your contribution to Uncle Sam.

Now, it's not necessary to spend your hard earned money on survival food, it's possible for you to increase your contribution to dependence on Uncle Sam.

FIFY.

Yeah, I'm greatly relieved, and there's as much sarcasm in that there statement as there was tongue-in-cheek in yours.

Couple/few things, though:  1) Any feeding by Uncle Sam will come with strings the likes of which a free people would not tolerate - ever.

2) I've come to understand Beck's plea to be a life-raft for others around us is precisely to help them/keep them from becoming government dependent

3)  These people are still selling #10 cans and other items and I've bought from them.
