Maybe with the tit-for-tat spats with Russia will cause them to cease shipments to NE and then Trump can ban the rest to shore up domestic use...or the NE can freeze and die...either way it's a win!

This was necessary because anti-energy activists have convinced local elected leaders to block new energy infrastructure, including pipelines that could bring American gas to the region. This is making households in the Northeast more dependent on imported energy, and forcing them to pay among the highest energy bills in the country.

This was no accident. The Conservation Law Foundation, a prominent anti-energy group in Massachusetts, states on its website that importing natural gas from foreign counties is preferable to building new pipelines. The Sierra Club’s Massachusetts chapter has simply declared “No New Pipelines,” while the state’s attorney general thinks Russian LNG is better for the climate than piping in American fuel.

This is blatantly unconstitutional.  Only the Feds have the constitutional authority to regulate interstate commerce,  not any one state.  Arbitrary restrictions placed on interstate commerce such as this and by any one state,   is exactly the reason our founders set it up that way.

Most of this in Conn. case is because the mayor of New Haven refused to expand the tank farm at the port there sighting safety concerns which was a total lie then and now.  This is the same guy that welcomed illegals to his city and gave them all I.D. cards and kept the cops off their backs.   His name was John DeStefano and was followed by Toni Harp who is no better than him.

New Haven is the only port that I know of in Conn. that has tank farms in it.
