Title: Army officer denied entry to daughter's school because uniform "might offend"
Post by: Glock32 on September 11, 2014, 05:35:49 PM
An Army officer was denied entry to his daughter's school because he was in uniform, and the security guard along with three other school staff who stopped him said it was because his uniform "might offend" some students.  This was at a school near Detroit.

Here's an idea, if you are offended by the uniform of a US serviceman then perhaps you should consider living somewhere the f**k else.

A security guard and three other employees at a high school in the suburbs of Detroit, Mich. refused to allow a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army to enter the school because he was wearing his military uniform.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at Rochester Adams High School, reports Detroit Fox affiliate WJBK.

The man denied entry to the school is Lt. Col. Sherwood Baker, a 24-year Army veteran whose military career has included visits to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Baker was visiting the taxpayer-funded public school with his daughter, he said, because he wanted to speak with her counselor about her schedule.

“He was told in order to get into Rochester Adams High School he needed to take off his uniform,” Baker’s wife, Rachel Ferhadson, told WJBK.

“Before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said, ‘Sorry you’re not allowed in the school.’ The security guard told him that men and women in uniform weren’t allowed because it may offend another student.”

The security guard advised Baker to go home, change into civilian clothes and come back.

**** *** ******** ***** *****   (profanity deleted).

So does this security guard have a uniform that doesn't "offend"?   Or how  about a cop or fireman?

It offensive to think that someone who protects our freedoms could be "offensive".   Its like the Vietnam vets getting spit on by those tolerant hippies back then.   Insane!

Says "near Detroit"; I'm betting 'slims in the school, hence the "offended by the uniform".

Not a fan of FDR, nor of anything he did, but we didn't have this kind of sht with the Japanese and the Germans during WWII, and we wouldn't be having it now if we first told the 'slims to STFU and go STFD next to where we banished the Left.

What, exactly, are the survival stats when rented security are, uhm...engaged by trained military personnel?
