Canadian Court Shreds the Gun Control narrative.
« on: September 15, 2014, 08:27:06 AM »
Its interesting to note, that roughly the same time that the New York Slime, posted an editorial stating that the US assault weapons ban, was BS, and the term Assault Weapons was a made up word by the democrats, that a Canadian court challenge essentially shredded all of the Canadian gun ban crowd talking points for the last 20 years.

It identified that these anti gun freaks could get away with bull-&hitting the media and parliament, but when it came to the cold had facts in court, they fall on their faces.

Essentially the courts found that you have roughly the same chance of getting hit with lightning as getting shot by a long gun in Canada.  However the lying bastards claimed there were 1,000s of shootings per year, and the media backed them up... every media but Sun News, a new television entity.

Maybe the courts in Canada are not as infected as those in the US...we are probably one unelected black robed jackass away from having our God-given rights eliminated!

Don't be too sure of that, in another part of the province of Ontario, we have a court trying to decide if a Crossman pellet gun is actually a firearm..  With a liberal judge sitting on the bench.

Apart from an eyeball or a sore butt, most pellet guns offer little chance of serious harm, certainly not on par with a powder-fired projectile...

Common sense...a lost skill for too many...

It just never ends...

With high powered pellet rifles shooting 1000 fps, I beg to differ. The judges will have a field day.

Oh, but you can do better than that. For a mere $440 you can have one of these that spits lead at 1650 fps. Now, granted...it's only .177 but still...that's pretty quick.

Not a firearm, of course, but it will be on the list just as soon as they manage to eradicate the real things.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Canadian firearms law dictates that any 'pellet gun' that meets or exceeds 1,000 fps requires a license. (PAL).  what this effing judge decided to hear a case on is a dinky toy that won't break the skin.. ::pullhair::

Those are the exception, the majority are lower velocities...

Perhaps those in the higher ranges will be labelled "assualt pellet guns" or "scary black pellet guns"...

 ::facepalm::

Screw 'em anyway.

Own illegally if you must, God-given rights trump anything man writes or says anyway, so, carry on!

They may have shredded some gun control laws,  but their speech laws are downright Orwellian.   You don't have the right of free speech there,  and in some places words considered "anti-gay" will get you jailed.

And I though being shunned or labeled a wacko by the media was bad.
