Most of the Mid-East is Sunni . The largest concentration of Shiite is in Iran .

Now all They have to do is take care of the " No-Fly Zone "  themselves and we'll all be ahead of the game .

But it's the Shiite minority causing trouble!

And now it's not just the Saudi's coming to the rescue...

If I remember correctly, we have a Navy fleet based in Bahrain. This not a trivial matter.

Yes. Basing rights in Manama.  Due to Islamic host, our personnel are restricted to dockside for shore leave.  I think they set up USO stuff and bring some hooch in and keep 'em safe there, not at risk in the general population.  The country is one of the few friendly to us in the region, and it is strategically located for us to make maximum use as a port facility.  Now this crap.  I am guessing our presence there has been minimized and security beefed just to keep logistics flowing.  I am guessing we are using helo's to transport needed materials to the fleet or going the long route via Diego Garcia and supply ships.

ETA - Kuwait is probably being utilized as well.  And the Saudi's are probably letting us use their airspace as needed too.

Iran has worked very hard to rewrite the meaning of words. Peacefull doesn't mean what it once did,so it's not "peaceful peaceful". Killing 20K is peaceful when compared to killing 100K.

The problem here is we don't have the new Iranian dictionary.Much like the word "Invest" now means SPEND!
