I did not read the ISIS lists. Sometimes random locals will claim they are members of iSIS or AQ to gain street cred.
I still think that ISIS is often used by the US. I think the Taliban went after ISIS in Afghanistan.
My point was that Taliban back then had likely never traveled far from their villages and were ignorant about the outside world. . Now they are better educated.
Evidence?
I don't save links to everything i read. US govt tried to overthrow the Syrian govt using imported Jihadis, imported through Turkey along with arms also imported through turkey. I recall that AQ was directly armed and ISIS indirectly armed.by US. John Kerry noted on audio tape, with approval, that iSIS was closing in on Damascus.
Locals in Syria n reported that ISIS were mostly foreigners who hated the locals. US support for the Jihadis went from conspiracy theory, to only arming 'moderate rebels' to CIA complaints that 1 dollar of 13 of their budget went to Syria.
Gen Wesley Clark famously reported that a friend at pentagon told him that the US planned 7 regime changes in 5 years. How to think they were to do that? Not with US troops. US hires proxy crazies like ISIS.
Well links help, gives me something to analyze and research. As for Kerry, he is a Leftist and a boob, it's 50-50 if he talked out his ass or let something slip...frankly his track record largely tilts to the former. And Clark, also a Leftist with a huge ego is about as reliable...and whose regimes was he talking about? Frankly, if in third world hell holes I could care less, though I would not even bother...let others have the headaches I say.
As for Syria it was Christian since the time of St. Paul until a series of Islamic invaders conquered it starting with Muhammad...and interesting note, by Saladin, who was Kurdish. And in modern times Hafez al-Assad overthrew the Baathist government he was part of and later became President and dictator of nationalist socialist (that would be akin to Nazism) philosophy...what he called a hybrid of Leninism and Gaullist constitutionalism (but chose the nationalist socialist description)...which is ironic since Bashar praised Putin's invasion of Ukraine to "de-nazify" the country...and both he and his father never stopped embracing Russia and buying their arms. Kinda hard for me to care what the hell happens to that country.
