Title: Jan Hooks
Post by: ToddF on October 10, 2014, 09:35:58 AM
Another one from back when Saturday Night Live used to be funny.  The Sweeney Sisters, Nancy Reagan, many others.  My favorite will always be Tammy Faye and the running makeup.

Jan Hooks, 57 (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/jan-hooks-is-hilarious-classic-739747)

I have no clue...obviously Hartman, Carvey, Myers & Lovitz are names I know, but I hadn't really followed that show since the old/original members...

57?  What's the story there?   ::whatgives::

She was from a funny SNL era, for sure. And she was a funny lady.
RIP.

The era with her, Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, Victoria Jackson, and Kevin Nealon were the best years of the show.  The bit she did with Nora Dunn, the Sweeney Sisters, always made me laugh because the cheesy exuberance reminds me of my mom at family gatherings.
