East coast looks likely.

I reckon the only people happy about this are the climate alarmists...finally a storm bearing down on large population areas, eh?  It's gotta be hard to peddle fear with nothing but bullsh*t!  I feel for them, really.  Or rather I feel nothing for them...too bad we cannot throw those people into the storm to appease their pagan gods, eh?

Yeah, don't they just.

It rained like hell here last night and the temps have been dropping; tonight's supposed to hit the '50s.  It's supposed to keep raining til the weekend, so if we get any wind from Joaquin, trees will be sliding right out of the ground.

Help from technology is all well and good...when it is helpful/accurate...but nothing beats individual common sense.

I am not worried about anybody in this forum not being prepared for whatever...

But some days taking that trip isn't so far out of my way...

We're supposed to get anywhere from 7 to 14 inches of rain by Sunday, and that's on top of several inches we already had this week.  And I bet the weather nerds will still be whining about drought.

Oh darn, what will the progtards do now that it';s not going to hit the East coast with a steady dose of globull warming? I'm stressed that the media will have to cover something more relevant like Obama's constant f*ck*ps.

I'd love to ease their suffering...let's gather them up and deposit them into the storms path...but lets not tell them we'll be booting them out at 30k feet until we open the hatch...I love giving surprises!  I'm a giver, ya know?!

So apparently that missing cargo ship, the El Faro, sunk in this storm.  It's a reminder that even in the 21st century with all the navigation and communications technology, the ocean can still send a 730 foot ship to the bottom.

Apparently the Coast Guard found a survival suit that "contained human remains" but the remains were unidentifiable.  I don't know what that means.  I wouldn't think they'd been out there long enough for significant decomposition.  I'm guessing it means various forms of sea life had a go at them.

If there were injuries and any amount of blood hit the water...well, those sharp-toothed sand-skinned devils probably got after 'em...

At least those things aren't as big as they used to be...or we'd be in real trouble...
