Is anybody going to watch?
Will there be live blogging or will it be dead air?
Does anybody care?

CNN Hosts GOP Debate on National Security from Washington, DC (http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/11/18/cnn-hosts-november-22-gop-debate-on-national-security-from-washington-dc/111150/)
Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. (ET) live from the historic DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. The debate, in partnership with The Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), will focus on three of the most critical issues candidates will encounter during the Republican presidential nomination: national security, foreign policy and the economy. The debate falls on the eve of the deadline for the so-called congressional super committee to create a plan for at least $1.2 trillion in deficit reduction.
In addition to Blitzer, Foreign policy experts from AEI and The Heritage Foundation will pose questions to the candidates. The following eight presidential contenders will participate in the debate: Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, businessman Herman Cain, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.[/blockquote]

Ya know, I'm not gonna watch. I know where they all stand, and I would just as soon watch the highlight reel of Herman Cain's lack of knowledge.
-
I'm redoing my downstairs bathroom and have to have it done by Thursday or my a$$ is grass. ::facepalm::
Maybe I'll have it on in the background?
-
I'm not planning to watch.
-
I'm on vacation in Texas and probably won't watch.
Went to the Shiner Beer brewery yesterday...

They said picture taking was not allowed so I naturally had to take pictures. Mrs. trapeze was appalled.

Okay, I'm in the chatroom if anyone cares to drop in. The debate is on.

trapeze: You gotta hang in a little longer than that
trapeze: Suckfest or no suckfest? That's about the only thing I'm interested in.
trapeze: It would have been interesting to see how things would have turned out if the Democrat field had been tested like this in 2008
trapeze: Ron Paul takes the dove position right out of the gate
trapeze: Gingrich versus Paul...
trapeze: Huntsman comes out against the Patriot Act.
trapeze: Romney comes out against Paul.
trapeze: Perry comes out against the TSA union. Sez they should be disbanded
trapeze: They seem to be giving all of the candidates airtime
trapeze: Santorum supports the Patriot Act. Slams Huntsman.
trapeze: Paul doubles down on terrorism being a crime...terrorists are just criminals
trapeze: Cain takes a swing at a common sense approach to threat identification
trapeze: Perry brings up the "not another dime to our enemies" point again.
trapeze: Bachmann disagrees with Perry. Sez we should continue support to Pakistan
trapeze: This is a suckfest.
IronDioPriest: logs in on 11/22/2011 7:36 pm (ct).
trapeze: It's going over the same ground that we have gone over before. It's boring
IronDioPriest: Hey Trap. Not impressed, huh?
trapeze: not at all
IronDioPriest: Color me shocked - SHOCKED I tell ya!
IronDioPriest: These are the BEST of the BEST!
trapeze: The only thing that would be impressive is Romney getting smacked around
IronDioPriest: The very best society and the GOP can produce to lead our nation
IronDioPriest: what
IronDioPriest: what's not to love?
IronDioPriest: /sarc
IronDioPriest: I'm not watchuing
IronDioPriest: just checking in
trapeze: Mormon smackfest going on right now
IronDioPriest: really?
trapeze: Sort of...not very messy
IronDioPriest: Like railing on his religion?
trapeze: no...Huntsman and Romney going back and forth
IronDioPriest: oh, I see
trapeze: Gingich looks bored
IronDioPriest: forgot there's two LDSers
trapeze: Cain is looking at his shoes
IronDioPriest: gingrich only has two looks
IronDioPriest: bored and maniacal
IronDioPriest: Cain invoking his stable of experts?
trapeze: Gingrich gets to respond. Sez he isn't sure what Romney and Huntsman are discussing.
trapeze: I have to agree.
IronDioPriest: I gotta bail on ya buddy. Mrs needs me
IronDioPriest: adios
trapeze: Okay
trapeze: Sure hope I can stay awake through this.
trapeze: It's a bit of a snoozer
trapeze: I will only be impressed if someone bloodies Romney's nose
trapeze: Cain flubs the support Israel question
trapeze: It's a simple question. Needs a simple answer. "Yes."
trapeze: Paul responds to same question with "NO"
trapeze: Okay...I have watched this long enough. It's boring. I will get the wrap up somewhere else. Time to watch football...has to be a game on somewhere.

Funny thing is that Paul complained about not getting any airtime during the last debate. He's getting lots of time now and he is using it to say we need to ignore all foreign threats (Iran, Pakistan, etc.) and focus on being isolationist.
Don't know if that is going to help him. I'm guessing it won't.
Santorum is the only one who is getting shorted tonight. Maybe he should start wandering around the stage...standing behind the other candidates that are getting airtime and make funny faces or something.
-
I just turned it on and checked into the chat room and was all by my lonesone so I came back here. So far it's a let down. Maybe these guys are a little over exposed.
-
Second debate Perry's been on his game.
Newt too.
Can't hardly hear the others zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Cain sounded empty. Again.
Ron Paul sounded nuts. Again.
Gingrich sounded left of Perry on illegal immigration. And then doubled down on it. A lot of people are going to have a hard time rationalizing their support of Gingrich after that shameful display.
EDIT: Perry Romney was seriously undistinguished tonight. He sparred with Huntsman for some reason.
Huntsman's eyebrows were very threatening.
Bachmann sounded more reasonable and credible than most tonight.
Santorum was there, I think, but I can't remember anything he said.
-
Seriously, Santorum is in trouble of being invisible during these things. He needs to show up with one of those flashing neckties or maybe clown shoes or something...anything to get noticed.

Video: Perry vs Bachmann suspending aid to Pakistan (http://www.therightscoop.com/perry-vs-bachmann-suspending-aid-to-pakistan/)
[blockquote]
Perry and Bachmann disagreed tonight over suspending aid to Pakistan. Perry would suspend aid until Pakistan demonstrates that it would be a trusting ally however Bachmann believes that to be highly naive and would continue aid to Pakistan because she worries that their nukes would fall into the hands of the Taliban or Al-Qaeda:

I missed it, but apparently I missed nothing.

I would have replied to Bachman that if the nukes fell into the hands of the Taliban or Al Qaeda Liberal strongholds would be at risk the most and well NY and DC both deserve to be nuked out of exsitence and doing so would benefit all America. ::whoohoo::

I didn't know there was going to be a debate tonight... working night-shift this week and I'm usually sleeping when news is happening and announcements are being made throughout the day.

Speaking of Mittens - "We need to protect America and protect our troops and our military and stop the idea of Obamacare."

Like Mr.RomneyCare has a right to open his mouth!
And, from that same c*cksucking AP link, this - "Asked about the same general topic, Bachmann said Obama has 'essentially handed over our investigation of terrorists to the' American Civil Liberties Union. 'Our CIA has no ability to investigate,' she said. Bachmann did not cite any examples to buttress either of her claims. is priceless on two counts - First, her statement is essentially correct in terms of Obama policy and ROE's, and Second, has the c*cksucking AP ever asked that walking f**kstick in the White House "any examples to buttress either of her claims?"!

#Gingrich says that ending gasoline sales to Iran and sabotaging its refineries
#Texas Gov. Rick Perry says he favors sanction on Iran's central bank.
#Businessman Herman Cain says he would support an Israeli military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities
What's wrong with "all of the above"?! ::thumbsup::
It's not being implemented
Words from Romney's mouth are merely artful fluffs of air moulded into the appropriate sound of the moment.
From the AP: Excellent response by Ms. Bachmann, regretfully they will be regarded as non existant.
Also from the article:
Texas Gov. Rick Perry was harshly critical of the magnitude of potential cuts saying the Obama administration's Pentagon chief had called them irresponsible. "If Leon Panetta is an honorable man, he should resign in protest,"
