Amazing story, if you have dry eyes after this one...I dunno.  Awesome to see people come through and make his dream cabin come true!

I've just always had a problem sending money to some stranger like that, though. How could I be sure the recipient is the one I intended?

I hear ya.  In this case I think we are OK, they racked up quite the score, I would normally research the outfit first.  But the story is pretty awesome and that's the main thing.
