Interesting. Commies long used 'civil rights' groups and blacks back in the USSR days. Good propaganda. Paul Robeson was a pinko. IMO they were half sincere and viewed themselves as being the good guys and part just cynical users. The National lawyers Guild was a commie front.
Obama mention a mentor "Frank" in his books. Frank was a card carrying communist with an FBI file who moved to Hawaii from his beloved Chicago home town likely on party orders to be close to the commie infused longshoremen union.

I loath communism but Frank was accomplished. He started, ran, and wrote for some black newspapers in Chicago. He was also bi or gay and wrote pulp pornography but the book below stayed off those topics.

The Americans TV show featured one such black commie "Gregory." A very sympathetic character IMO. He dies "for the cause."

The US has long caused trouble inside other countries. I long wondered why those countries did not respond in kind. Give fully automatic weapons/grenades  to street gangs and shoulder launched missiles to MX drug cartels.
