Slight run up, since April it looks to be seasonal demand since the glut is still full on.  And the glut is what is should keep the summer runnup less severe.

Every year prices spike from, roughly, mid-March through Memorial Day.
That's when refineries have to switch from "winter gas (9.0 RVP)" to "summer gas (7.8 RVP)"

Inventories of 9.0 are run real low and it takes a bit to rebuild them back up; typically mid-June.

About $2.40 at Costgo, $2.659 at the price fixing cartel.

Premium 14-15 cents higher.  And now I have to buy that for small engines too, this cheap-ass ethonol-laced bullstuff is gumming things up!  ::pullhair::

They must have upped the content in regular!   ::cussing:: bungholes!

Several years ago, there was something like 9 different blends sold across the country.
Uniformity of blends would lower costs.

And, IMHO, RVP is more baloney foisted on us.

For example, I live in Armstrong County, Pa. which is a rural, relatively populated area.
Because we have the good fortune of about one mile of our boundary that touches Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) we are designated as an attainment area and required to use 7.8 RVP gas which is higher.
Several of the surrounding counties aren't required to have this so they are able to sell 9.0 RVP gas which, for most of the summer driving season, is $.09-$.09/gallon cheaper.

Dealers that live near the borders get killed by the competition.

I don't want to start on ethanol.

You too huh? I have had to clean every damn carburetor I have tried to use this year before I can get anything to start.

The riding lawnmower at the lake bogged down and died.  All gummed up by that cheap rotten crap!  I had to mow the whole back lot (not enormous by any means, but still...) with the little self-propelled.  I think the only reason that one ran was because it has oil mixed in, and that must be enough to keep it from getting too gummy.

I wanna pour that crap down a bureaucrats throat!

Here is a link to stations that carry ethanol-free gas.  Click on your state and hope for one near you.

In all my older equipment (which I have a lot of) I use a product called "Seafoam"

Try it.
You'll like it

l use Seafoam as a general treatment all the time, it goes way back...it was a lot more fun in the old days before computers and EFI when I could trickle Seafoam into the carb and then tool around "crop dusting" the neighborhood!

I put a few drops in the gas can as soon as I get it home and use it as a maintenance/preventative.

Despite collapsing oil prices.  Blame refinery problems in Indiana.

I don't entirely discount the refinery problems, since the Fedcoats heavily regulate this industry and make it virtually impossible for anybody to build new refineries...and limping along on repairs is not a long-term solution, one day the suckers will break catastrophically and then we'll be well and truly hosed...but there is some gaming going on with finished products...some of the issues are easily engineered delays in deliveries...probably not nefarious at origination but appear that way when folks are trying to manage their regions demands.  Plus, cannot rule out the occasional special diversions for side donations.

Another SuperFraud Cartel led gouge to $2.859, even as you can see by the blue line, wholesale has dropped back 15c.

Yeah, I was forced into a cartel the past weekend, sucked, for cheapo gas they are $0.20 over a lot of others.  Good thing I only put in just enough to get going.

You wouldn't know it, by the $2.849 gouge attempt, but wholesale is right back down where it was before the Indiana outage.

2.36 at local Sams I hate that place. Costco is supposed to be building down here and if it's close enough I will drop sams like a bad habit.

The refineries are at near maximum capacity right now...soon they will cut way back for needed maintenance before getting ready for the winter blend, so there could be more upward pressure in gas prices around the corner.
