Title: Storm to hit NY and Boston area

Even Drudge labels this one "historic".  Why is everything always historic, epic, etc?  Why can't we just get the facts and deal with them without the editorializing?

That is just the TV version of "Hold my beer and watch this!"

So it's going to snow.  It's winter!  Where I grew up typical winters exceeded 300 inches so it takes a bit to impress me.

Here, north of Pittsburgh, they're calling for up to 6"

I don't get Sept's level of snow...6" is a good snow, it shouldn't be paralyzing, epic or historic unless it's happening in the deep South, otherwise, like Sept says - winter.

Surprise, surprise, the forecast for NYC has been a bust. Down from the 2 feet originally prophesied, down to under a foot and perhaps 8 inches tops. The head Clown will of course look like the clown he is and be forced to apologize to the millions he inconvenienced as he closed everything.

The bad news is he won't have to contend with a disaster.

Comments at the 2nd link are hilarious. They're justifiably taking aim at Gorebull warming acolytes who insist on dire predictions 100 years out when they can't reliably forecast 24+ hours out.

Yeah they are!

My understanding is that Boston actually got the big snow. So it's not that it didn't happen but rather that it didn't happen everywhere they said it would. Of course the big news is that the local and state governments can declare martial law for some snow.

You are not alone.

I say this fool should still run his mouth, he has to be making more enemies by the minute and I say that can be useful.

Yes, we call that one "Boston Strong" you see, one cannot be "strong" unless one capitulates to martial decree (the infamous "cower in place" and wet yourselves with fear until the authorities give the all-clear to resume your psuedo-liberty!) then one cannot truly be "strong".

How fvcked up is that thinking?

That bullcrap has to be met with stiff and determined resistance!  Like the event 'Soup is attending on the 7th, no more means NO MORE!
