Two U.S. lawmakers will introduce measures to impose a transaction tax on financial firms that resembles a proposal released by the European Union.

Tom Harkin and Peter DeFazio, both Oppressives .....
“It’s a significant way to raise some needed revenue,” Harkin said in an interview today in Washington. “Quite frankly, I bet nobody would even feel it.”
Oh sure; only on Big Financial. Right now. Soon to trickle down to your checking account.
Go ahead. Try and pass it. You'll feel it.

Well, at least the article mentions that it is almost certain to fail...but they are floating it just the same. Just like the VAT earlier in Obama's term, etc.

Yes, I caught that; those ole meany House Republicans. I don't care. You know what they say, "it's the thought that counts".

I bet they would feel the tar, feathers & rail as we drag their asses out of town!
-
Communist lawmakers (Harkin has a long history with that) implement tax on capitalism.
What's surprising?
-
Iowans appear to be a rational people, why they reelect
him makes them suspect.

How some of these people keep getting re-elected on both sides of the isle is beyond me. Most don't benefit from their pork spending. Wait: Maybe that's it most do either benefit from pork or are on the teat. ::falldownshocked::

Harkin...
::)
This is what you get when you allow just any idiot to vote...
::outrage::

The elimination of an eligibility requirement to vote was
one of the first items the socialists accomplished toward
dissembling traditional America. The candidates have put
so much on their plates right now is not the time to address
realistic voter qualification. If we survive this election and
remain a Republic this must me seriously addressed.
We had a Poll Tax. If you wanted to vote it was necessary
to deliberately go to customer service at the grocery and
purchase it. That would put a kink in the bus-a-thons and
Soros would spend a chunk of change paying an extra $25.00
a vote.

Oh My Lord, I can hear the screaming already ..........

No meaningful voter qualification will ever again occur. They would never survive the accusations of racism.

But we can ask for proper photo ID and do away with easily manipulated BS like drive-by voting laws and such! I'd go so far as to ask for a valid US birth certificate!
