I stopped buying Levis for Gunsmith when they stopped making anything but low-rise skinny jeans for men. A better fitting, less expensive alternative is Wrangler's and I can find them at Walmart ....... where I can go armed.
Where the heck are Levi stores anyway; I never see any.

Yeah, I dunno...probably near libiot-rich enclaves/outlet stores...I know I saw them offered somewhere...stores I rarely or don't frequent anymore like Penney's...
But like you I can get Wranglers from just about anywhere...and Kirkland brand stuff at CostCo...

I like the 505's. Fit me without low riding nor do I have to worry about getting my chest hair caught in the zipper.
Guess I'll get Wranglers from now on.

I always go Carhartt - their slightly faded, straight (never gay) leg jeans are the best - and my wife loves to grab my a-- when I wear 'em.
(that means I'm not changin' brands!)
