With cities to pillage and windows to smash,
They knew not the issues, but needed the cash.

Eight years of Obama had given them cause,
To expect a replacement of their Santa Claus.
But soon the protestors will feel the pain,
When the wheels fall off of the old gravy train.

And now all the snowflakes are riddled with fear,
Upset and offended by things that they’ll hear.
The cocoa and crayons will help for a while,
But fact-based opinions will soon cramp their style.

I originally supported, and voted, for Cruz,
In the end, I would vote for whoever they choose.
He wasn’t my first choice, but soon I would cede,
The one they call Trump is the one that we need.

I saw him on TV in front of a crowd,
He spoke about veterans, it made me feel proud.
He spoke about energy, safety, and jobs,
Taking this country back from the Washington snobs.

He was dressed in Armani, all tailored and neat,
And the Brunos he wore made the outfit complete.
For a man of his vintage, he seemed rather fit,
And he looked presidential, I have to admit.

His eyes glowed like embers, his smile was the best,
And his hair was the color of my old hunting vest.
His love for this country was on full display,
And his actions spoke louder than his words could say.

He thanked all his voters, and before he was gone,
Saved thousands of jobs while Obama looked on.
The fate of this country left nothing to chance,
So, he filled out his cabinet weeks in advance.

The men he had chosen were of the same mind,
Let’s set the bar high, and not lead from behind.
He picked up his phone as he rose from his seat,
With a flick of his finger, he sent out this tweet;

“Now Mattis!, now Kelly!’ now Sessions! And Pruitt!
On Perry! On Flynn, You’re the ones who can do it.
Start lifting restrictions and building the wall,
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”;

The roar of his audience rose from the stands,
He kissed all their babies and shook all their hands.
He answered their questions and calmed all their fears,
They knew it would be a fantastic four years.
Then he jumped in his limo, and off to his jet,
A fellow that Liberals won’t soon forget.
He sent one more tweet as the evening expired;
“Happy Inauguration to all,
AND OBAMA – YOU’RE FIRED!”

At breakfast this morning (my brothers and I get together every Friday for breakfast) I stood up and proposed a toast to our new president. I got cheers from most and one couple got disgusted and left.

Prediction:   If Trump can make the economy show signs of life,  he will become much more popular, and be easily reelected.   If it doesn't,  there will be no second term.   Obama got the benefit of the doubt (unfortunately) when it came to the economy,  but Trump will not get that,  at all.   Nor should he. 

Once thing,  the Donald will not be boring like Barry was. 

Every time I saw Hillary on TV during the stuff today,  I was thanking God we were spared her "leadership" and we weren't watching her annointment.   We really dodged a bullet on this one.     Sucks we took Barry's but he is history now.

Half the country actually believes the economy is doing great right now as it is. The entire economy has been shrunk and harmed, but the media refuses to tell the truth, and dems believe and repeat the taking point. If the truth had been told about the economy, Trump would have won in a landslide.

Now, of course, no matter how well it does, we'll be bludgeoned with reports of economic doom no matter what.

Well, all the pundits who thought Trump would mellow out with his speech were dead wrong. He re loaded and threw the haymakers. The look on Moochelles face during the speech was priceless and did anyone catch good ole Bill giving the eyeball to the Trump women?

Great day, Trump looks like he is serious about cleaning the place up.

The speech was brilliant on many levels.

First, it was short, the shortest in decades, which is good...assholes like Obama and Clinton drone on and on and on...who remembers a damn thing they said?  In "modern" times we remember Reagan, we remember JFK...we don't remember much of the others.  Make America Great Again.  Simple.  And the tone, and overarching philosophy espoused indicates real change is coming...that a new sheriff and a new way of doing things is going to happen.

Second, it sounded the charge that began with his campaign when all the Establishment in and out of the GOP gave him no chance to succeed in this race that signaled an outsider is serious about ending the business as usual crap of the Establishment.  Yeah, it's gonna be hard and he is going to have to battle hard with the Establishment forces inside the GOP just as hard as he battles the entrenched Establishment in the bureaucracy, the democrats and the D-MC Goebbels media, but he still demonstrates a total lack of fear of them or any kind of temerity in taking them on.  This was a shot across the Establishment bow as Commander in Chief.

Third, it is long overdue.  Somebody has to try to clean up all of this sh*t, and who better than an Establishment outsider with the will of the people behind him?  I was dumbfounded, literally thunderstruck by some crap I heard on FoxNews last night as I was catching up on the days festivities...and sure I haven't watched these guys in a while so maybe I missed the point where the "fair & balanced" BS unbalanced their effing minds...but folks like Hume were saying this speech was 25 years too late, that it was the wrong tone, blah blah blah.  WTF?!?!?!  Some of these people, like everybody on the Left...are those who JUST DON'T GET IT!  The sh*t trajectory we are on is unsustainable.  The debt/GDP trajectory we are on is terminal.  The institutions we have are too large, too corrupt and are too invasive.  90% of the media is garbage.  Playing nice ONLY benefits the status quo, which is effing killing us.  People have to stop playing the fool, wake the eff up and realize the galactic sized problems we have are not going to be solved by the Establishment types, all they can do is make things worse...it will have to be solved by the rogues, renegades, rebels, righteous people who are guided by Liberty and Freedom to make things better...if better can be had.

Go forth and do battle with good cheer!  Have to pass the time somehow, right?  Make it productive!

So now some judge has overturned the executive orders banning travel from the identified countries. First of all, the President clearly has the legal authority to do so, and second of all foreigners do not have a "constitutional right" to come to this country.

Now, Trump has tweeted a threat against the Freedom Caucus, blaming them for the failure of Ryan's O-care 2.0, telling them to get on board with his agenda. Just stellar.  I don't appreciate the Trump FU being turned on us Conservatives.

It doesn't surprise me. I said all along that Trump was a loose cannon and the ultimate game-changer. I've held no illusions about him, such as the god-like worship of "da won" by the left.

I believe his critics when they charge that "he only cares about himself". And why not? Shakespeare wrote; "This above all: to thine own self be true" which I take to mean that one cannot attend to the needs of others unless and until his needs are met. So Trump evaluates things from his perspective. And last time I noticed, his perspective was that of a fabulously wealthy man, far removed from street level where the rest of us live. His concerns are not the same as mine because he is not exposed to the same dangers and challenges that I am. He is insulated from interaction with the sub humans I encounter almost daily.

We knew that going in.

All I can say is that I view this as an experiment. We're trying something radically different. We're doing so out of necessity. If it fails to achieve the desired outcome we will abandon the experiment and try something else. I'm not wedded to the man.

What 'Soup said.  I wouldn't have gone after Ryan on this item, others are much more deserving, but alienating the one part of the caucus that was most likely to support you, well...I think He'll realize soon that may have hurt him down the line.  But there is a rogue maverick element to the man that was not a hidden character.  We'll see where this goes...
