These are sworn officers refusing to uphold the law and perform their most basic of functions - public safety.
They are choosing a side, and they are choosing the wrong one.
Do you think people will do any better than look away when they are under attack? I would argue no, and in many cases people will do more than just look away...and it won't be to their benefit.
