Well they had a chance to help the economy, and then sat on it, making it worse in fact, for an entire decade. They rather people suffer then just let the economy do its thing. We had not one quarter of decent growth, the entire 8 years of Barry's regime. We were likely in recession most of that time.
Imagine if we could rid ourselves, permanently, of all the economy and job killing things we will likely be stuck with forever. The trump tax cuts are unfortunately just a moment in time that will pass. Companies will once again hold money (many times out of the US). Apple is still paying a huge fortune in taxes in the money they are finally bringing home. Imagine if all that money flowed home ALL THE TIME.
People have no idea how fast the economy once grew, back in the 19th century (before we had all the taxes etc). The good times of the 20th century are nothing compared with the growth rates that once existed and brought much of the wealth that we are basically still living off of.
We could have real growth, and fewer bubbles.

The massive fraud, waste and abuse and quadrupling of the debt that is the real legacy of Obamunism by itself is a nightmare that might take two decades of intelligent guidance to repair...that's a lot of if's and but's, but Trump shows the mechanisms exist to start it, it's the will and long-term commitment to sustain it that is the real issue. Enter the eventual perfidy of the E-GOP and their nefarious ability to screw everything up.
