Jeez.  Tell that asshole to just shut the frak up!  Everytime that idiot speaks Vladi gets a woody and things will go from crap to worse in Ukraine.  Somebody gag that imbecile!

And check out this article...either Yanukovych is lying his ass off about police (highly likely) or being cute with the facts (and it is military snipers of his own or on loan from Vladi) that are doing the sniping!

Standing yards away from the bodies, Olga Bogomolets, one of Ukraine's leading doctors, told The Independent that they had been hit by police sniper bullets in the head, heart, lungs and neck.

Police, she said, had prevented doctors from treating the injured immediately. "We may have been able to save the lives of some of them."

Dressed all in black, their faces hidden behind balaclavas, men in police uniform were seen firing shots into the crowds that flooded the streets around the protest camp at Independence Square, also known as the Maidan. From fortified positions on the ground and on the roofs of buildings, some appeared to take time to line up their targets. Others fired indiscriminately, taking shots at groups of men recoiling under metal shields. Teams of protesters and volunteer medics carried the injured away on planks of wood.

Some of the anti-government protesters had come to the Maidan wielding clubs, axes and guns to face off against the country's feared elite police units known as the "Berkut". Radical protesters, including members of far-right groups, have been active in the violence.

But others – the students, the young professionals, the " babushkas" (grandmothers), who had begun their protests peacefully in November – are now gathering rocks to use as ammunition for the men at the towering barricades that defend the protest camp. As fighting continued on the square, a group of six elderly women worked under the cover of a bus stop to prepare Molotov cocktails.

"This is extremism," one of the women said, refusing to give her name. "Our president has driven us to this. No more cooking in the kitchen for us. Now we make these."

You know, when the old ladies, the ones who remember what Soviet subjugation and repression looked like, start making bombs in their kitchens ...your nations leaders are in for a long hard fight.

May God be with the free people of Ukraine.   ::praying::

More on authorities clearing out and opposition taking control in Kiev.  I still want to know where the former went.

Parliament trying to remove the defiant President.

Sure wish that sentiment would spread over here.

I think you are right.

Check this out -

http://news.yahoo.com/ukraine-ushers-era-president-39-whereabouts-unknown-111638516.html;_ylt=AwrSyCXkfApTHFoAUjjQtDMD

Yanukovych pulled a Claude Raines, Parliament wants him tried for mass murder, the snipers are likely back in Russia or on Russian flagged naval vessels, police and other rats flushed out of Kiev and the western half are probably holed up in the eastern half.

EU trying to buy in via bailout...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-02-23/eu-offers-conditional-aid-ukraines-catastrophic-pre-default-economic-state
....Russia will be po'd over that.  More on that below.

Good map on that ZH link -

And now pro-Russian people are actiing up, disparate groups across the spectrum are popping up and making demands and elements in the military are saying they are pro-opposition (kinda vague!), it's a real mess.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-uprising-we-can-break-protesters-legs-no-one-will-punish-us-the-law-is-on-our-side-9147903.html

The damned Russians are going to fukc this all up!

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-02-24/russia-awakes-says-ukraine-poses-real-threat-our-interests-citizens-doubts-legitimac

The ONLY peaceful way out of this is a negotiated partition of Ukraine into East and West.  And to keep the Russians from having a complete shytfit they will have to have the Pro-Russian East have the Crimea, and then the rest should be split right down the Dnieper river.  But Russia will not accept even that, so they'll eventually take by force...as usual.  My advice to people in the nation who do not want to be subjugated by Russia or her proxies...GTFO!  GTFO now before it is too late!

“If you consider Kalashnikov-toting people in black masks who are roaming Kiev to be the government, then it will be hard for us to work with that government,” Mr Medvedev told the state-run RIA news agency. “Some of our foreign partners think differently.”

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-russia-calls-countrys-new-rulers-guntoting-mutineers-and-says-it-will-not-work-with-them-9150379.html

Umm, gosh...Mr. Medvedev, when it's jiahdis in the streets of Bumfukcistan protesting against America you somehow arrive at a different conclusion.  Do you have problems recognizing freedom fighters?

What a dick!

Russia is showing all the signs of intervening and making this a bloodbath!

Pricks!

Yeah.

Oh, and this is quite telling!

Ukrainian Citizens Demand Their Own Second Amendment in Constitution
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/02/ukrainian-citizens-demand-their-own-second-amendment-in-constitution/

Huh...I wonder why people would want that right?

Maybe Leftists here can help us answer that one, eh?

Hey Obama?  Biden?  Pelosi?  Schumer?  Reid?  Wanna clear this up for us?  Why in God's Earth would people want to have our Second Amendment rights?  You got a clue?  Any?

Hello?

Hello?

Yeah...you all know why!

Yeah that's probably a demand people might think of when they've spent the last several weeks watching police snipers in balaclavas killing civilians. So with that demand, is the ZH/IW/Paulbot crowd going to stick with the "protest manufactured by Soros and globalist bankers" line?

"Everyone has the right to freedom of owning a firearm to protect their life and health, housing and property, life and health of other people's constitutional rights and freedoms in the case of usurpation of power , the encroachments on the constitutional order , sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine . Exercising the right to free possession of firearms is governed by applicable law and may be limited only by the court on the individual. "

Me too Alan.  Right now it sounds like the Russian's are staged along the western border with Ukraine, waiting for now, both they and the EU are trying to negotiate, not sure how that works when one party says it won't negotiate with people toting AK's...ironic on so many levels.

I think they are buying time, making it look like they are trying to find a peaceful resolution to this before being "asked" by people in Ukraine (wink wink) to intervene.

I hear too that the Crimea where the Russian Black Sea Fleet is based is split right now, most are either ethnic Russians there or pro-Russian Ukranians, and that they both want ties to Russia and not a break up of the nation.  They cannot have the former without the latter.

What a sad mess.

This is just insane...

First, Yanukovych spouts off from exile somewhere in Russia...rumored to be in Moscow area...calls others "illigitimate"...

And then gun-toting "pro-Russian" (or is it just "Russian") goons seize Regional capitol of Crimea and raise the...Russian flag...

I'd say this is all poised to go sideways and get real fugly.

And Yanukovych fleeing to Russia and not Europe or a neutral nation is solid confirmation of who his master really is, eh?

All we need now is for Team Obama to screw this up...

The Slavic peoples seem to be very adept at killing each other, hold grudges against each other for a long ass time, and require little provocation for them to flare up.

Yeah, this is probably going to get pretty ugly.

De facto Russian incursion and takeover of the Crimea, there can be no doubt.  All under the pretext of a grotesquely broad reinterpretation of the Black Sea Fleet basing agreement.

Whatever happens...I hope Putin and his faction in Russia all burn for this.

Yup.  They've sealed up Ukrainian Marines at their base, the idiot heading Ukraine Navy announces the day after his appointment his allegience is switching to Pro-Russia elements, ...

http://news.yahoo.com/ukraine-navy-chief-switches-allegiance-crimea-pro-russia-172726132.html;_ylt=AwrBJSDxahNTSBEA4VXQtDMD

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10669826/Ukraine-Putins-Crimea-aim-is-to-make-the-West-look-weak.html

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-crisis-moscow-catches-the-world-off-guard-9162832.html

Putin may think he has the upper hand and he could be right, he can militarily dominate Ukraine, but for him to think it won't come with losses is stupid.

And so far this call is both correct and dangerous - “I think Putin is playing chess, and I think we’re playing marbles. It’s not even close,” the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Read more: http://thehill.com/blogs/global-affairs/europe/199647-putin-running-circles-around-us-rogers-says#ixzz2upinsr5Y

Team Obama should keep low profile, but they won't, they'll fukc this up every way possible, and egging them on will only encourage them.

What should be done will not be done, because people have grown stupid and lazy.  And Putin may be right that the West is weak and this proves it, but he is wrong in that they don't have to be.  Putin is constrained to operating nothing more than a conventional military operation in Ukraine, he cannot go WMD on them or the West should they intervene conventionally...Gazprom masters cannot sell energy to dead people.  So the answer is not necessarily full conventional confrontation, it should be an insurgency-style operation...the Pro-Western elements in Ukraine should call for specific NATO help, air drop ammo, medicine and food and personnel to secure key positions throughout the nation, basically a human shield approach that makes Russian incursion painful, sacrifice some to lure them in and then launch counter-attacks combined with sabotage and assassination operations.  They want blood, most if it should be theirs.  Going in heavy would be stupid and turn the place into a meat grinder...which no doubt the ODumbass Regime will opt for, that or doing nothing and ceding hegemony to Russia.

Yes, artillery of that sort is only good for two things - levelling buildings and conventional bunkers and the like and eliminating personnel, typically the opening act culminating in a full ground assault.

I'd say that is an indicator that offensive action is being considered if not already planned.

There were reports that the Ukrainian Air Base in Crimea was secured by Russian forces using stun grenades.

VVAW loser Jean F'n Kerry to visit Kiev, blather about sanctions and political solutions...I hope the Ukrainian's throw him out on his ass!

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-02/us-official-claims-6000-russian-troops-complete-control-crimea-crisis-map-update

And, this article by Stockman exemplifies the stupidity of Zerohedge when they deviate from economic issues to anything concerning foreign policy.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-02/memo-obama-was-their-red-line

I might want to listen to Stockman when he outlines the folly of our fiscal and monetary policies...but writing an article that sounds so pleasantly isolationist may appear reasonable on its face but beneath it is the blank check the Russians want to commit any atrocity for the sake of securing territory and forcing people to pay Gazprom monopoly prices just to survive.  When you try to flip this to mean the US by sake of proximity, history and Manifest Destiny we can deal with our neighbors (like Cuba for example) in like fashion they go all Code Pink on you.  Their hypocrisy offends me deeply, they are no better than Joe Kennedy and his band and Nazi sympathizers!

Oh, and this - http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-03/ukraine-accuses-russian-fighter-jets-violating-its-airspace

Just lay there and take it, you are meant to be Russia's bitch...any response by the West to support Ukrainian freedom is pre-ordained by the geniuses at ZeroHedge to be provacative and can lead to nothing but world war and anihilation.  Yes, to these geniuses Gazprom can sell to the dead, long live Gazprom!  Long live Russia!

 ::facepalm::
