Sportsmanship

It's still alive. I know this should go in the "sports" forum, but I think it fits better here just to show there are good kids out there. They just don't get the publicity of the thugs.

We had our state football championships this weekend at the Superdome. Read this story today about 1 combatant.

Quote
On Friday night the Kinder Yellow Jackets defeated the Many Tigers 34-20 in the Class 2A championship game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. However, the bigger story from this night may have come after the game when Kinder Quarterback Austin Pickle took time out of celebrating the win to console Many’s QB.

Following the biggest game of Pickle’s young career, the Kinder QB noticed that Many QB, Xavier Dias, was upset on the sideline. It was then when this wonderful moment was captured on camera.
The QB of Kinder took time out of relishing the moment of winning a State Championship to console the losing QB. These young men have probably waited for this moment in their life since their first days of putting on the pads, to play for a State Championship, and when it ends in defeat it can be overwhelming.
We not only salute Kinder QB Austin Pickle for this kind gesture, we also salute his coaches and parents for teaching him, and his fellow teammates, what true sportsmanship is these days. Too often we see players fighting, parents fighting, & coaches attacking referees at sporting events. Maybe we can all learn something from this extraordinary photo.

Our hats off to you, young Mr. Pickle. ::bows::

I hate liberals. Liberalism is a disease that causes severe brain damage after it tries to suck knowledge and history out of yours.
