Title: Yesterdays global warming

Wonderful storm dumped freezing rain knocking down trees, pieces of trees poles, lines and anything not strong enough to the ground.

Power naturally went out just after it to quit raining. Assholes at Meted refuse to give any info as to when or if they're working on it. Internet server is naturally a casualty as well.  Reduced to using phone...sucks
They keep blowing me off for estimated time for repair. We're warm and cozy thanks to fossile fuel powered generator but nored

Bummer, sorry Warp.  About all you can do is ride it out, assess your emergency preps, and wait...

Power cam on not that I noticed. The dumb ass power company was supposed to call me. Still haven't heard from them. Cable finally let me know after ten ours of being back online. If I hadn't noticed the box giving time, I would have never looked outside for evidence. I only care becasue running the generator costs a fair amount of money.
