Oklahoma, gosh, this stuff is everywhere.  There are a generation of people who spent their complete academic and possibly home life in a wonderland bubble devoid of critical thought or logic.  Mentally they are the equivalent of a body never exposed to biotic or viral treats. They have no anti-bodies, they perceive no threats. Those persons that do see threats are the disruptive threats to their peace.

“It is my opinion and that of my legal counsel that forcing me to enter a Mosque when it is not directly related to a police call for service is a violation of my Civil Rights,” Fields wrote in an internal police department memo obtained by Fox News.

“I have no problem with officers attending on a voluntary basis; however, I take exception to requiring officers to attend this event,” Fields wrote in an e-mail to his superior officer obtained by Fox News. “I believe this directive to be an unlawful order, as it is in direct conflict with my personal religious convictions.”

Now imagine a police officer being reprimanded for this:

There would be no disciplinary action, and the man would be held up by the Leftist media as a paragon of virtue and American values.

No word from the ACLU?   ::eyes::

This should not be allowed to stand!

The PC/Diversity/Multi-Culti crap that gave us modern day "community relations" needs to be disbanded!

You know what good "community relations" used to mean?  Cops walking beats, busting bad guys and upholding the fricken law!

Every single "community relations" officer needs to transition to the beat or be fired, period!   ::gaah::

It's what goes on in every s***hole inner city where the police chief is a leftist trash politician and not a policeman.

No surprise.

It's stories like this (and many others, to be honest) that convince me of the dire need to go to guns. This whole thing is not just slipping away, it's being given away...and I sit here watching.

As a retired LEO, I understand the desire of police departments to reach out to those parts of the community that do not want to get along with the police.  In this case however, it went too far.  I have read other stories where police officers on official business were denied entrance to a mosque while in possession of their duty weapons.  Now we are led to believe they are going to welcomed with open arms(feel free to decide which type).  If they wanted to hold a "Law Enforcement Day" at a park or as a block party, I don't think this police captain would have had a problem.
