Title: NFL
Post by: Glock32 on December 06, 2015, 11:48:46 PM
Who's still watching?  They've tried their best to make me lose interest, with all their PC BS, but old habits die hard and it's still part of my Sunday regimen.

My team remains undefeated at 12-0!  It remains to be seen if they'll be able to pull off an undefeated season.

What happened to the Vikings vs. Seahawks?  Seattle spanked them like AP's unruly child  ::evil::

Our OL is about as credible as a Hitlery's public statements, and our QB...Teddy Ponder/Christian Bridgewater...stinks on ice...he has no idea what a check-down or progression is...and if he could complete a pass of 20 yards or more it would be a fluke.  Plus, our D was down our best plug in the middle of the line and then our top 2 players (safety/LB) went gimpy.  But the D woes do not excuse the horsedung offense.  Our GM (Spielman) is the same guy that ruined the Dolphins and got run out of town...we might have waited a couple years too long to do the same...and I see no movement on that front so, we're screwed.  The good news is I saw early on the direction this was taking and bailed...which is good news for my BIL as I am still trying to get his books caught up.

 ::unknowncomic::

On the plus side the 5-7 Gophers got invited to the prestigious Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit 3 days after Christmas because the NCAA had nobody else left to pick from...so being in a republic in decline is paying off there.

Just watched your boys choke vs. the Cardinals.  WTF were they thinking?  Take a shot down the field, and if it doesn't work go ahead and kick the FG and finish the game in OT.

I would be raging if I was a Vikings fan right now.  :)

You have your Vikings [can't believe I typed their name], but try living your life as a Lions fan.  ::unknowncomic:: The last good team they had was in the 1950's with Bobby [kick their a*s if they screw up] Layne as their quarterback.  Even after out partyin' all night on Sat. he'd play like a mad man on Sunday.  In 58' after three straight years of winning years and championships, the Lions traded him and rumor has it that he put a 50 year curse on the Lions.  Well that 'curse' is now in it's 57th year and still going strong, because they sure are geniuses at "inventing" ways to lose, most recent example, the Green Bay game a week ago yesterday.  Even the talking heads knew that GB would try a 61 yard 'hail Mary' with only 6 sec. to play, but not the "pussycats", so another "L" in their history.  And your Vikings have had their number ever since I can remember --- The Lions have made my favorite sport - "turning off the TV when they are on". ::rant:: ::taz::

Everyone knew Green Bay was going for the Hail Mary, so why the Lions didn't put their future Hall of Fame WR in there I don't know.

But my team is not the Vikings.  My team is the Panthers.  I was hoping Minnesota would beat Arizona to give us a bigger cushion for home field advantage in the playoffs.

The dropback on 3rd down for the strip-sack-fumble was the perfect Viking play call...anybody who has suffered decades watching these clowns knows there is always a new way to piss a game away, I had nothing but a snort and a dark laugh to offer.  Just another game for Vikings lore.

Wow, you guys really must enjoy the punishment to even watch the effeminate NFL football game. Give the defense pistols without sights and two rounds to make it worthwhile watching. I know, blood but hey, most of them came from the 'hood anyway.

Even though the Lions stunk the second half Monday night, time ran out for the Saints come back.
You mentioned 'a pistol with two rounds' -- hell they couldn't hit a barn at 5 feet with a scatter gun.  Now even QB Stafford's wife is in the hot seat.  Seems she had 5 tickets for the Saints game and says that a family member was "ill" so she couldn't go, but instead of donating the tickets to people in 'need', she tries to sell them on the internet.  But hell, he only makes $20 Million so I guess they needed the money.  Then later when questioned [I paraphrase], "get over yourself, I was going to donate the money" was her response. Wonder who the donation would go to?????

Oh well, high class sports at it's best ---   ::puke::

Yeah they really crapped the bed in Atlanta.  I don't know what was up with them.  They blew their shot at an undefeated season, but as long as they bring their A game to the playoffs it will be alright.  A lot of good teams dropped to lesser opponents last week.

Seattle annihilated Arizona today, that was a bit of a surprise.

Yeah they looked good against TB, but who doesn't?  They better hope the Vikings beat Seattle (which I am predicting will not happen, that team just beats us like a rag doll) because if Seattle wins they being the low seed would go to you guys.  I would think Carolina would prefer the GB/Was survivor.

But hey, the Vikes beat the Pack in Lambeau for the first time in whatever and won the division, so denying them the division and sending their asses on the road is a pretty good consolation even if they get beaten to a pulp next week.  (My sister went to to the game with friends, hope she got out OK, I'll have to check on that!)

Our QB is mediocre on a good day and our O-line (especially on pass D) has been vomitous all season.  This could be fugly.

The Viking/ Green bay game appeared to be a contest which both teams wanted to lose so they could play Washington instead of a clicking Seattle.

The interception discount double check threw in the 4th quarter, in the end zone, was a perfect pass to the defender. Discount double check tried to throw another, but the Viking DB refused to catch it, knocking it down like he was playing hot potato with his kids. It was then I believe both teams get the call from the NFL and they played it out from there.

Of the NFC playoff teams, the Panthers have played and beat 3 of them during the regular season, including Seattle -- in Seattle.  The easier road would probably indeed be the Vikings winning so that the Panthers get the winner of the GB/Washington game.  I don't expect that's going to happen, but you never know.  All of these teams have dropped games that should have been no-brainers, so "any given Sunday" and all that still applies.  Plus I think it's supposed to be like 13 degrees for the Minn game.  We'll see how well Seattle travels against that.  I would think those conditions dictate a run-heavy offense, which favors AP over a questionable Lynch.

But, I'm not too invested...I look upon such contests like a latter day Roman seeing the end is near and going to the Coliseum out of habit and boredom...perhaps rooting for the Christian to live.

Yup. His completion percentage is great. But he can see what's open downfield, and when he does, he doesn't have the mechanics to get the ball there.

Weather did it's part.

Seattle kept to 10 points.

As always the ability of the Vikings to seize defeat from the jaws of victory comes through again.

27 yards.  It doesn't get any easier than that.  Should fire that clown before leaving the stadium....if for no other reason than to ensure his personal safety.

I wondered right away if he was paid to toss it at the end...but it could go either way with that guy...he's missed short kicks aplenty.

They need a RB who doesn't fumble too, after all this is a passing league and running teams rarely do well in the post season anymore, I would trade Peterson in a heartbeat for any reasonable offer and get a new QB and several O-Linemen.

Oh well, I bet they stand pat...this is not an organization that does things particularly well let alone bold.

Just another sad end to a Vikings season...if not for stupendous ways to lose games they wouldn't be the Vikings.

Here's the thing, yeah the kicker cost Minnesota the game at the very end, but without that same kicker how many points would the Vikings have had on the board?  A big fat zero, that's how many.  And that was their real problem.

You don't win games by scoring field goals.
Title: Re: NFL
Post by: Libertas on January 10, 2016, 04:00:24 PM
Yeah, that too.  When they got to the redzone they didn't even try for TD's...they just settle, every time.  Part of that no doubt is the defense, Seattle scares the coaches and players, it is obvious they went in with a conservative plan, big shock, and yet the big mistakes were made by them anyway.  They should have played more like a team with nothing to lose...why did it take until the last minutes to discover Rudolph?  You can take shots at the endzone in an intelligent manner with manageable risk...you don't have to toss it up for grabs.

Again, that goes on the QB too.  They don't trust him to be able to do that.  Which begs the question...why is he your QB?

Everyone in Tennessee is happy Peyton will get one more shot at a Super Bowl, even though it will be up to the Denver defense to make it happen. No doubt the two best defenses made it. Denver and Carolina's defenses are smothering. Denver can come off the edge better than anyone and Carolina gets accolades for their linebackers, but their two interior guys are amazing.

Not sure Newton can be totally contained and if Manning can weather the barrage, I think his offensive line can keep him upright enough to score some points.

I just don't think Denver's offense can hang with Carolina's offense.  Their defenses are pretty closely matched, with a slight edge to Denver, but the offenses have a pretty significant mismatch in favor of Carolina.
Title: Re: NFL
Post by: Predator Don on January 26, 2016, 12:11:43 AM
Denver's defense took a Brady led offense, with all it's weapons, and kept it in check until the last drive. Carolina's wideouts don't scare anyone, they thrive because Newton can stand in the pocket and wait til they come open. Not sure that will happen with Denver's rush. Double team the TE, keep cam in pocket.

Oh, the Broncos are in the Superbowl again? Wheee!
I grew up in Denver.  While  my lack of interest in sports is probably mostly genetic, any remaining interest I had was killed by the Broncos growing up.
How many times did I watch them go the Superbowl and choke. And it wasn't just superbowls. Every frigging game would go into overtime - because they would choke in the 3rd quarter. I guess it made for exciting games, but it irritated me.  And then there is Carlos and his amazing ability to hit goal posts.
Now I was unaware the Broncos were even involved in a game till my Dentist wanted to talk to me about it in the chair this morning.   Rah Rah.

Yeah the conference playoff games are usually way better than the Super Bowl, from strictly a love of the game aspect.

I definitely was not expecting them to hang 49 points on Arizona, while holding them to only 15 points.  And the Seattle game was only close because coaching -- they've more or less admitted now -- tried to sit on their lead in the 2nd half.

A lot of people are still unaware of Newton's transformation into a complete NFL QB.  He's still dangerous on the ground, but he is also a top pocket passer now.  He's had something like 35 TDs thrown from the pocket this season, so yeah he can beat teams with his arm if they dare him to.

Denver definitely has a potent defense, but I think even if Carolina is held to half their usual scoring it is unlikely that Denver matches it against the Carolina defense, which is pretty good in its own right.

I wondered that too, because it is uncharacteristic for them to run up on their opponent.   At the end of the game Carolina took a knee when they were in field goal range, giving the ball back to Arizona with time on the clock, so I don't think they were pulling a dick move with the 2 point conversion.  If anything they may have been responding to some insults, perceived or otherwise, from Arizona (who had earlier gone for 2 when it wouldn't have changed the number of possessions needed to tie the game).  There was a comment from the Arizona coach at halftime calling Carolina the worst second half team in the NFL, and that if Arizona scored in the first 5 minutes of the second half it would be lights out for the Panthers.  I can only imagine that comment got back to the Panthers.

I am definitely luxuriating in the Panthers' season this year, because I have checked out of politics (ping me when the shooting starts) and am just indulging in mindless entertainment in the meantime.  Plus after enduring so many years of mediocrity and awfulness, it's fun to now have a team that makes other teams and their fans so salty.

I was thinking.
(That may be a surprise)

Newton is very good but young.
I suppose if Denver's defense could rattle him early and maybe get a pick or fumble and score, it could give Denver a chance

Denver needs to find a way to score 28. I think Carolina will score in the 20's. Hopefully it will be a good game.

Carolina jumped out to those huge leads the last two games.
If Denver can avoid that, they have a chance.
Maybe small.

I'd like to see a decent game
But there better be some good commercials or I'm going deep into the Jack Daniels early

Didn't catch much of the game...what I did catch (the Carolina catch not ruled a catch but looked like a catch in reply and was challenged and the official the tv guys had said the call will get overturned...but it wasn't) kinda set the tone...probably wouldn't have impacted the outcome but the script seems to have been set - Peyton goes out a winner.  Not surprised by the final score when I got up this morning.  And apparently Cam isn't too thrilled with all the "what's the problem on offense" questions.

Carolina was outcoached. Except for one Manning sack on the blitz, the Broncos read each one, checked out of a bad play and did just enough to win. Carolina never adjusted to the Broncos outside rush. Only a few times did they keep in a extra blocker, which is a must against the Broncos.

Well called Bronco gameplan. Once Cam found out he wouldn't have the time to just sit and pick receivers, he hurried throws because he doesn't read defenses real well.

Well, as a Panthers fan I am of course disappointed.  I'm disappointed in the game, and also disappointed in all the bullsh*t that got attached to this team at the end, i.e. the "Panthers are the most unapologetically black team in football", etc.  The postgame walk off wasn't a good look for Newton.  At the same time I sympathize with anyone who gives the middle finger to the media.  They're such duplicitous bastards, whether its politics or sports.  I know there's a narrative that he's a sulking poor sport, but having followed this team I think there is an alternate explanation.  He viscerally hates losing, and can't not let it show.  It's the same when he is doing well.  He can't not let that show either.  He gave another interview after returning to Charlotte and explains some of that.

But as to the game, yes the Panthers were severely out coached.  The offensive coordinator has a dubious reputation in Carolina fandom and he did nothing to dispel that.  The O-line is pretty solid in the interior, but the ends are highly suspect.  Especially the right end, the end Von Miller was running through like a turnstile.  The Panthers offense got rattled early and lost the mental contest before they had lost it physically.  The Carolina defense played well and kept them in it up until the end, when the offense's mistakes dug too deep of a hole.

The Panthers should be better next season than they were this season.  They're in pretty enviable position right now, compared to a lot of other teams.  Now it's time to find another distraction, some other form of entertainment while waiting for SHTF.

That former Viking OL of theirs got his ass handed to him.  Talk about 'been there, seen that'!

I heard part of what Cam was dealing with post-game was the weird press room configuration...basically had a curtain separating the two teams...he's trying to answer questions while hearing a Bronco DB talk up how their simple game plan shut down the Carolina run game and force Cam to make passes he isn't ready to make.  He could have handled it better but I too have little regard for any presstitute so its hard for me to give much of a crap either way.

Bread & Circus...until, well, yeah...
Title: Re: NFL
Post by: Predator Don on February 11, 2016, 01:17:16 PM
The Denver defense took advantage of the Carolina offense. For all the Cam talk, Carolina is a running team that couldn't run against Denvers front 7. Once Cam started running, I though Carolina would be ok....but he stopped and tried to do what he likes, that is sit in a protected pocket, wait until a receiver breaks open and then use that cannon arm. You simply can't do it against Denver. I don't know too many tackles who can consistently block Ware and Miller.

The Carolina offense never adjusted. I watched Denver do things offensively to negate the blitz, but I never saw Carolina make an adjustment.
Title: Re: NFL
Post by: Glock32 on February 12, 2016, 02:51:38 PM
The Carolina game plan was half right.  They went for a more vanilla offensive plan with the hope of protecting the ball in a lower scoring affair, confident that Denver's offense would be held in check.  They were correct about the last part, as Denver's offense wasn't lighting it up by any means.  The rest of the plan probably would have worked as well, had there not been such poor execution.  Receivers bobbling the ball, butter finger ball carriers.  Denver was beatable.  Carolina made critical errors.  The "any given Sunday" effect.

But I still fault the offensive game plan for not making adjustments, and for apparently deciding to treat Ware/Miller like any other tandem of pass rushers.  In the game against Houston, they negated the best end in the league, JJ Watt, so it's curious that they went so vanilla in the Super Bowl.

As for Cam Newton, it's funny because his style of play gets criticized no matter what.  In his first few years in the NFL he was criticized for running too much and not being an effective pocket passer.  This year he really emerged as a true dual threat, as his pocket passing improved considerably.  That improvement cannot be overstated when you consider the corps of nobody receivers he had to work with.  But then he begins to be criticized for abandoning the run and trying to force plays from the pocket.  He still prefers to run it himself, so failing to do so in the Super Bowl is something I'd lay at the foot of coaching more than him.

The controversy surrounding him is an interesting look at how the media really are just a bunch of jackals who enjoy wielding their "we made you, and we can destroy you too" power over people.  They've been heaping criticism on him for not falling on the ball when he fumbled, yet if he'd done so and came out from under that dog pile with a broken leg they'd be heaping criticism on him for a "Superman" complex and how a smart QB would have known to back off and get a better angle on the ball.  Drew Brees nearly ruined his career in a similar situation, so I can't really fault Newton for not falling on it.

Huh, we acquire Bradford...a #1 next year and a 4th the year after seems a bit pricey for a oft-injured QB with flashes of talent.  Good thing we have a better O-line this year...keeping Sam upright will be good, and receiving corps is better.  But I think coach is blowing some smoke your way Don by not announcing a starter for the game...I doubt Sam has learned all of Turner's playbook...even a slimmed-down playbook would be hard to pick up this fast.  I guess our guy is trying to play yours...but I don't think Tennessee's approach on D is going to be altered one iota, I still see at least 8 in the box to stop Peterson no matter what.

Of course everyone is excited here.....new year and all. I hate Bridgewater was hurt. Our run D is decent but our pass defense is horrible, so without Bridgewater I'd say our opportunity to win goes up a bit. Plus, Bridgewater was going to be one of my QB's in fantasy football this first round of games because of our pass defense.

This game will likely go by quickly. You guys will run Peterson 25 times and we will run Murray 25 times so unless each team takes a ton of penalties the NFL will have some dead time between TV games.

The mega a-holes are a minority (let the proglodyte thought police have fun with that statement!) but they cast a long shadow...and the NFL hierarchy and presstitutes make light of asshattery...I think most everybody else is tone deaf to the BS, and actually if you have a decent local radio option turning the volume off the TV idiots will save you from a lot of aggravation.  I ike football and I used to be a rabid pro fan, now I am a fair weather fan and much more interested in college football, where at least the BS is less...though there is the routine flare up of ferals-gone-wild (or acting normal?...another one for the thought police there!)...such as the recent news that 4 suspended Gopher players may have been involved in a sexual assualt...or not, as usual nobody is talking...

They can say whatever they want, but the game has simply become infused with politics and people recognize it. They want to watch a game to escape from that for a few hours, not have it shoved in their faces there too.

A Chicago Tribune columnist bared her true feelings about America in a Thursday piece about Colin Kaepernick, the National Football League star who stirred strong feelings last year when he knelt for the national anthem to protest police brutality toward African-Americans.

Asking why Kaepernick cannot find a new spot in the NFL Diana Goetsch asked, “What’s worse in the eyes of the NFL — players beating women or kneeling for the national anthem? Answer: kneeling.”

“‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ is a pompous battle number,”

https://www.weaselzippers.us/349105-kaepernick-defending-chicago-tribune-columnist-calls-natl-anthem-a-pompous-battle-number/ (https://www.weaselzippers.us/349105-kaepernick-defending-chicago-tribune-columnist-calls-natl-anthem-a-pompous-battle-number/)

Apparently...Diana was once Douglas...

Well, it is stupid no matter what junk got re-arranged in its crotch!

Crapernick was more that about kneeling and this sexually confused moron knows it!

But we know them by their fruits...and Crapernick and Di-Doug are of the same stinking putridity...

The Nitwit Foolsball League wants to circle the drain quicker...

The NFL has struck a broad alliance with Jay-Z in which the rapper will both help the league with one of its thorniest problems—smoothing out continuing tensions with players over social-justice issues—and expand the NFL’s entertainment offerings, including the Super Bowl halftime show and other creative projects.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/nfl-taps-jay-z-for-social-justice-issuesand-entertainment-offerings-11565718081 (https://www.wsj.com/articles/nfl-taps-jay-z-for-social-justice-issuesand-entertainment-offerings-11565718081)

It's too easy to predict this will make everything so much more worse.

I was somewhat offended by the half  time show, starting with a crotch shot of Shakira.
I rewatched the show and chalked that up to an unfortunate camera angle. Her dance moves in that part were standard Latin stuff like you see during carnival in Brasil.

I liked Shakira dancing. I knew nothing of her. She is part Lebanese and grew up in Columbia.
She learned to belly dance at a young age. She did some belly dancing and there was some middle eastern music it seemed.  I liked her part. She wasn't almost rubbing her crotch like J Lo.

Shakira is 43 and J Lo is 50!

My son & I watched the game (good game!). I whipped up a batch a BBQ chicken thighs, horseradish/mustard sauce with some celery,  carrots + some mean Mac & Cheese with garlic & Parmesan + Sam Adams 'Cold Snap'.

During half-time I went to my home office to tweak the week's calendar & when I returned to the TV there was a tribute to Kobe Bryant on. I asked my son Greg (a 24 year old college student) what was up. He replied that he was watching the 1/2-time show but that J-Lo was dressed up like a hooker, so he switched to Kobe until the game came back on.

I thought: O.K. - the parenting is working!

We MUST do better. Here is why every NFL team name is very problematic:

Arizona Cardinals - Too religious.

Atlanta Falcons - Celebrates one of the cheapest Smash Bros. characters, who is a smug little punk only jerks choose.

Baltimore Ravens - Named after the Disney Channel show That's So Raven without the POC protagonist's permission.

Buffalo Bills - Bills are an evil byproduct of capitalism.

Carolina Panthers - The panther was appropriated wholesale from Wakandan culture.

Chicago Bears - Murderous bears should never be celebrated.

Cincinnati Bengals - It just sounds racist. We're looking into it.

Cleveland Browns - Brown what? Are you talking about skin color again? Sounds like white fragility.

Dallas Cowboys - A mutant half boy, half cow is tragic and shouldn’t be used as a mascot.

Denver Broncos - Horses have been subjugated and enslaved for millennia.

Detroit Lions - Lions are not vegans.

Green Bay Packers - Glorifies butcherous meat packers. Meat causes global warming. Gross.

Houston Texans - Celebrates the most racist state in the Union.

Indianapolis Colts - This name glorifies guns.

Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars are driven by evil rich billionaires as they run over poor people.

Kansas City Chiefs - We suggest switching to Kansas City Wise Indigenous Tribal Elders.

Las Vegas Raiders - Celebrates The Raiders of the Lost Ark, which featured prominent Nazi imagery.

Los Angeles Chargers - We don't think anyone who has faced down a line of charging riot police would find this name the least bit funny.

Los Angeles Rams - Dodge Rams contribute heavily to the climate crisis.

Miami Dolphins - Painful reminder that Sea World still exists.

Minnesota Vikings - Associated with patriarchy-dominated Norse mythology.

New England Patriots - REEEEEEEEEEEE

New Orleans Saints - Goes against the constitutional principle of separation of church and sports.

New York Giants - They prefer the term "persons of height."

New York Jets - The burning of jet fuel contributes to global warming.

Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles are a well-known Nazi symbol.

Pittsburgh Steelers - Steel contributes to global warming.

San Francisco 49ers- The gold miner mascot hearkens back to manifest destiny and the destruction of Mother Earth

Seattle Seahawks - Birds are unable to give consent to have their name used as mascots.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - This one's actually OK because they were probably just stealing bread to feed their families.

Tennessee Titans - Reinforces the harmful idea of power structures and male-dominated hierarchies.

Washington Redskins - Nothing wrong with this one as far as we can tell.

We hope this informative list is a wake-up call to the NFL. If we continue to work on ourselves, we can help the NFL become more inclusive! Within 20 years, we may get them to put down the ball and kick it around as the ancient Aztecs intended us to.

The NFL fines players for having extra decals, etc. They control what they wear and how they act. The should have done that with the first kneeler. When they did not it was all downhill from there.  The kneeler could kneel and pay a fine. No problem.

NFL is show biz. The NFL harmed the business. It is that simple.

Vox Day has been writing about this  stuff for a while. He is often an arrogant A-hole and I do not care about many of the things he cares about.  He has three short books. SJWs Always Lie, SJWs Always Double Down, and Corporate Cancer.
He has many other books as well. NFL is also. Disney is going downhill. He described how they almost destroyed North Heights Lutheran Church in Arden Hills MN.

Even if they did an about face I still would not watch them for the rest of the season just to drive the point home.  I think that the players have been allowed that they run the teams. The owners should get together and fire the players who are screwing up the business cause in the end it's about money.

Ask the players if they would play for free as long as they are allowed to demonstrate.  Bet you have no takers.

Their toilet-dwelling ratings say otherwise...

The NFL franchise will not have cheerleaders this coming season — a first after more than 50 years, USA Today reported.

In their place will be a coed dance squad, according to Petra Pope, the team's newly hired senior adviser, who told the paper "we want to be more inclusive."

I don't expect a bunch of brainwashed trash or genocidal-maniac street rabble spurred by politicians and presstitutes are going to be swayed by logic and common sense...

but it’s hard not to notice that the entire mascot brouhaha, from beginning to end, is not only stupid; it’s incoherent. The Redskins and Indians were forbidden because the use of Native Americans as mascots was supposedly degrading and dehumanizing. The names had to go because they were demeaning and insulting. All over the country, teams at all levels dropped their Indian-related names in order to show their respect and regard for American Indians.

At the same time, however, teams all over the country have dropped their Crusader nickname because they don’t want to seem to be glorifying the Crusaders, which in modern myth (and not remotely in reality) were rapacious, imperialist, unprovoked attacks upon peaceful, wise, indigenous Muslim people. The schools that bore the Crusader name didn’t want to appear to be supporting such actions by white supremacists against innocent people of color, so the Crusaders had to go. And now it’s a similar situation at WWU with the Vikings: Western Washington University doesn’t want to appear to be “idolizing conquest.”

But wait a minute. If the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians degraded Native Americans, why do teams named Crusaders or Vikings glorify racism and white supremacy? If what Leftists have been telling us about nicknames and mascots for the last few years were even close to true, woke WWU should proudly retain its Viking name and declare that they’re doing so in order to demean and insult Vikings and white people in general. After all, if team names actually glorified the group that inspired them, then the Redskins and Indians had no reason to change their name, right?

...weaponized trash doesn't care about logic or common sense...only hate and a token taste of power...

“When the president of the United States says, ‘This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,’ it’s because him and his constituents, which, I don’t know how there are any if you watch any of his attempts at public speaking, but I guess he got 81 million votes,” Rodgers told Valkenburg.

“But when you say stuff like that, and then you have the CDC, which, how do you even trust them, but then they come out and talk about 75% of the COVID deaths have at least four comorbidities. And you still have this fake White House set saying that this is the pandemic of the unvaccinated, that’s not helping the conversation,” Rodgers said.
