Who's in the line of fire for this snow storm??
-
I think it looks like it will go a little south of me
-
I think Pan is in for ice storm.
-
Yep, ice storm. I think we're good, though. Gunsmith no longer has to leave for work at 10PM, the generator should do us well (unless a friggin tree falls on it, and don't think I don't fear just that), we've got as much food as we need or want, and beer, wine and a bottle of Wild Turkey Honey. Oh, and no damn reason to leave the house.
Plus, the Christmas lights are still up out there, so, we can make it pretty, too.

We're supposed to be getting 18-24"...
-
Be safe, everybody
-
Stay safe stay warm.
-
Ya know, I don't trust 'em, the weather people and the other horriblizers. What you want to bet the thing turns out to be a nothingburger, like so many other times.

What location?
Looks like we're in line for 18-24 and I may trek to Baltimore and see if I can die in the storm or perhaps earns some money with the skid loader and aquired JD blower.
-
We need a roll call: Stay in touch through this mess so we know that you are OK!! ::snoshovel::
-
Just started snowing 1.5 hrs ago in south central PA, 1/2 to 3/4 thus far.
-
Pan sounds well provisioned. :)

I'm more than sure that she and gunsmith are well stocked up but it would be good to hear from them.
-
Took the pup out for a stroll around the block. She just loves that fluffy white globull warming but with the temps at 20 mph ans the snow pelting me in the face on the return trip, my face was seriously cold after the trek.
Anyone hear from Pan and Gunsmith?
-
We're fine. Thanks for asking. Power hasn't even blipped ........... yet. :supercool:
Everybody else ok?
-
Woke up to the usual 2 ft. snow drifts and it's still coming down heavy like. Had to have been at least a foot thus far. Pooch loving every bit of it but wondering where to reliever herself(a problem for even medium height k-9s. Pushed a path to the side walk so back in the warm house. More updates later.
-
Sounds like no one was caught up short for "Snomageddon" - I hope y'all stay dry and warm.
Around here it's raining - same as it ever was.
-
Looks like it went south of Pittsburgh.
Talked to someone a little bit ago that has family around Uniontown (southeast of Pittsburgh in the Allegheny Highlands) and they had 18"
Here, we had, maybe, an inch or two
-
Update in South Central PA
at least 18. Still blowing. Tested the new old J Deer machine(first blower machine for me) so it beat the hell out of shoveling with the back so I'm happy for that. Skid loader is still more fun. ::thumbsup::
-
Still good. Still snowing. Got about three inches so far; the sleet kind of compressed it.

SW VA... It's still snowing and I had just over 2' when I left for work this afternoon...

Update: 28-30 inches.
New neighbor from Jersey asked me if this is the norm for snow accumulations around here. Guess he jumped before looking first. Offered help as he was digging out by hand. Turned me down. Hour later new guy across street is helping him out. Talk about a douchebag!! ::facepalm::
-
It's been brutal down here on the Gulf Coast. Temps have dropped into the upper 40's with rain.
On the bright side, the cold has brought the geese down.

Yeah, sorry to see you suffering so much, Alan. ;D
We have mild weather in the 20's here...feels balmy after that blast of Arctic air.
Guess some place in WV has 42", that's like a routine UP drop, right Rusty?

What's the extended forecast warpmine?
-
Gradual warming with sky god dropping rain ever few days some of it in heavy amounts. The people in Baltimore are screwed big time as their isn't any place to put the snow other than the curbs upon the sidewalks. This of course means pedestrians must walk in the streets where it's equally dangerous. Guess they shouldn't have pissed off Ghia so much ::facepalm::
I can't imagine how bad it is at inner city side streets with no parking allowed ever. ::thinking::

The UP is my old stomping ground. Snowfalls up to 60" do happen, fortunately not very common. The snowplowers sometimes have to plow about every other day, and they only plow when 4" or more falls.
