Video: CAIR confronts Allen West, loses badly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MZx38i6iYs)
-
Dang! YouTube is blocked by my work server. I gotta catch this at home tonight. Can't wait! :)
-
...
Koran-wielding Nezar Hamze, Executive Director of the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Hamze confronted Congressman West and asked him to point out where in the Koran does it give marching orders to Muslims “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people.”
...
[told Hamze]...don't “try to blow sunshine up my butt” and a little later...“put the microphone down and go home.”
...

That's gonna leave a mark!

West doesn't afford them the occasion to operate their taqiyya and is not even remotely interested in giving them superficial courtesy. I like it.

PS-Pablo, a Muzzie be lyin' as soon as it opens its damn mouth!

This is the kind of thing that happens when someone is confident in their position and convictions. That lieing muzzie mouthpiece never stood a chance. He doesn't even know his own religion's(?) history. What a joke.

That's the obvious point; most of them don't know the history, they only know what their propagandist mullahs tell them.
-
You see, God is great, look at his servan Allen West and how he smacks down the lies tat is Islam. ;D
Need some of those smiles'

West has it down, that's for damn sure. Even a 'Slim mouthpiece that DOES know his religion's(?) history wouldn't be able to debate the facts with him. The facts are too damning, and West knows them too well. He studied the enemy, and knows him intimately.

The delivery is what Arabs respect,in your face and no sign of weekness. Hit them like a buss saw.

This CAIR puke ::puke:: is just like Keith Ellison. Giv'm hell Col West. ::beertoast::

He his the new breed of politician. He speaks the truth plainly and one doesn't need an interpreter to decipher what he said. It is direct clean and clear. It is easy to see why he and Bachmann and Palin are fast friends.
With great positivtivity great bonds are being formed in the House.
E.B. Stoddard reflected today whether the TeaParty would let go [of]
Boehner. That question is a reflection of the power and unity our people are exerting.

Let us pray to God that our society rewards them for their boldness, and that such people continue to come forward as a result. America needs them. Typically, such people busy themselves with doing the things that made America great, not immersing themselves in the mediocrity and depravity of Washington DC. Now America needs them. I pray that the example set by the few becomes like a grassfire in a high wind.

I've said it before, and I'm going to keep saying it: Palin/West 2012.
She gets the top of the ticket because she's been a governor and she's much better known. He is still a freshman Congressman, after all.
But two terms of Palin followed by two terms of West is about what is needed to right the ship of state.

Treasury - Paul Ryan
State - John Bolton
Who else for the cabinet?

Eliminate the Department of Defense and reinstate the
Department of War, at the same time reinstate our original seal -
put the olive branches back in the left claw and the spears in the right claw.
We have so many pinkies in the pentagram it will take some research to find and appropriate candidate for this job.
Department of Justice:
Eliminate the:
Department of the Interior
Department of Agriculture
Department of Commerce
Department of Labor
Department of Housing and Urban Development
Department of Transportation
Department of Energy
Department of Education
Office of Management and Budget
Environmental Protection Agency
Office of the Trade Representative
Ambassador to the United Nations
Council of Economic Advisers

If I really let my imagination run wild, I'd pick Karl Denninger (http://market-ticker.org/) for Treasury. And I resoundingly second Bolton for State.
Maybe Petraeus for Defense? Is Schwartzkopf still available?
I also agree with Charles Oakwood's elimination list.
-
I also think DHS could be eliminated (Justice and Defense/War should be able to handle those functions). But if it were kept, I'd love to see Jan Brewer get the appointment just to rub the Left's face in it!
-
I think it would be seriously a hugely concrete as well as symbolic move for the next Republican president to eliminate every single "Czar" position and the bureaucracies and "task forces" they oversee.

They should have that as an agenda item.....one of the top 5 "to-do" things within the first 72 hours on office.
-
I think one of the overriding themes here is that the Executive Branch, and the President in particular, have become too powerful. That branch of government directly responsible to the people, the Legislative Branch, needs to reassert itself and restore proper constitutional balance.
-
Good question. I think Darrell Issa had assumed that as one of his goals.

He did!Now we wait for results that better be coming soon. He does need time to line them all up and go throgh the steps. But I'm sure he's out there ::thinking::

Darrell Issa, Chairman House Oversight and Government Reform issued subpoenas to DHHS regarding the department's Freedom of Information Act policies and practices.
He has also sent subpoenas to Countrywide Financial's "Friends of Angelo" VIP Program to which Rep. Elijah Cummings pitched a fit saying, "three unilateral subpoenas issued abruptly over the past eight days without adequate consultation with Committee Members." ...
"Based on your public statements and the underlying facts, all three subpoenas appear unnecessary at this time and could have been avoided if you had adequately consulted with me and other Members of the Committee,"...
Article (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/2chambers/2011/02/darrell_issa_issues_first_subp.html)
We must be thinking of another rep.
-
In 2010 Issa promised 40 hearings in 40 days. He's running a little slow.
It appears the good Rep. Scalise from [hey Alan!] La is leading the charge.
01/06/11 (http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/136487-republicans-introduce-bill-to-eliminate-presidential-czars)
Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) and 28 other House Republicans introduced legislation to do away with the informal, paid advisers President Obama has employed over the past two years.
...
The legislation...would do away with the 39 czars Obama has employed during his administration.

February 21, 2011 (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/02/21/house-republicans-eliminate-obama-czars/)
Scalise's amendment was attached to the 2011 spending package, which passed the House last week, would strip funding for a select list of the so-called czars.
...
The Scalise amendment was a refined version of a catch-all anti-czar bill he introduced earlier in the session. That bill called for effectively shutting down any Executive Office task force or office led by an official who had not received Senate confirmation. At the time, Scalise estimated that 39 officials would fall under that description.
- "climate czar." ..., Carol Browner, is expected to leave the position, ...
"Let her leave, and take the funding, too," Scalise said on the House floor last week.
- special master for TARP -- No more edicts on executive pay. ... who until recently was Kenneth Feinberg.
- White House Office of Health Reform... Scalise suggested the "ObamaCare czar" helped facilitate too many backroom deals in the process.
- [special envoy to oversee the closure of the Guantanamo Bay]
No more visits to foreign countries to convince them to take Guantanamo Bay detainees....
He's tasked with facilitating the closure of Guantanamo and finding homes for those prisoners deemed fit for release.
- "climate" czar, special envoy for climate change -- No more
- Task Force on the Auto Industry ...-- No more ...Scalise's amendment targets the senior Treasury adviser to that task force, Ron Bloom, who is now senior counselor for manufacturing policy.
- Special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation
- White House director of urban affairs
- Chief diversity officer for the Federal Communications Commission
