Title: Time for Perry to tell Obama to Eff Off

Obama riding to the defense of murder and rapist just because he's Mexican?  Yeah, whatever.  Whack 'em!

 [blockquote]
Quote
President Barack Obama is attempting to block the execution in Texas on Thursday of a Mexican man because it would breach an international convention and do "irreparable harm" to US interests.
[/blockquote]

Is that like knowingly doing harm to another nation.
Say, Mr. President, for instance, if the President of another country asked you to stop sending death weapons into his nation and he had evidence that you were doing so but you denied it and continued to do so, that's violating it's sovereignty; right?  That's an act of war; right? And since it resulted in death to that nation's innocent citizens that's murder; right?

You think that might cause irreparable harm to our relationship,
Mr. President?

I heard something about this on the radio today.  Apparently it involves an international treaty we signed back in 1964.  No one's saying the murderer should be set free; just that the sentence be commuted to life imprisonment.

Either the death penalty or life without parole is fine with me.  I'd prefer death, of course.

Yea...I heard this.... Seems Mexico threatened "visitors" (aka Americans) may not be afforded the same protection if this guy dies.....

You know, of all the times obama has steeped in chit, recommending people don't spend thier money in Vegas, etc...The ONE time he could exert a little pressure...but does he???? No..... I can tell you this, mexico will never see another American dollar of mine.

That would be great for what's left of their tourista business.

Treaty schmeaty.

This animal had been living in the united state for virtually all of his life. He posed as an American. When he did the crime he knew the laws of Texas. He has no claim to consular sanctuary because, by his own actions he isn't mexican.

If he wouldn't out himself as a illegal how the hell are the authorities supposed to divine that he is? Remember they're not supposed to even and what your status is.

Since they no longer fry 'em in Texas juice him good!

Just execute the criminal and then ask forgiveness rather than permission.

Ok -this is a point that I havent seen made yet:

1 - Humberto has lived in Texas since he was 2 years old - fact, not opinion

2 - All the so called experts want us to treat illegals as if they are one of us; IOW:
     - free healthcare
     - free education
     - all other benefits as if they are a citizen
3 - However, NOW Humberto was supposed to be treated like an illegal citizen and we should have contacted the Mexican Consulate when he was arrested.

4 - Wouldn't this be race profiling? If the LEOs in this case had detained him until his citizenship status was determined, and the Mexican consulate notified, they would have been labeled racists and bigots.

5 - So, which is it?

6 - If I was Perry, I would offer to give Humberto a stay, but from this point on, all people that are hispanic will have to be detained until we can determine whether the Mexican Consulate needs to be notifed or not. CYA.

Ok, I'm thru with my rant.

Never been - never could swing it, what with other priorities and all. But with "the golden years" on the horizon I had it on my to-do list.

No more.

I've had a belly-full of mexico and mexicans - all in my own backyard. If 'gringos' are treated half as badly there as they are here I can't imagine why anyone would willingly subject themselves to it.

Instead, I think I'll just sit on my front porch, drink beer, and bark at the neighbors...

Living in a rural area, I don't get to watch many strangers unless I make the trip to town. They have enough there to make up for it.

I've read this three times now and I believe radioman's perfectly described the box of cognitive dissonance within which we're all supposed to live.

They've gotten the laws, and us, so convoluted and tied up in knots, none know for sure what the law is any longer.

Confusion just makes it easier for the Ruling Class to step in and inform us what is expected, doesn't it?  This IMO is by design.

In his last minutes, Humberto Leal repeatedly said he was sorry and accepted responsibility.

"I have hurt a lot of people. ... I take full blame for everything. I am sorry for what I did," he said in the death chamber.

"One more thing," he said as the drugs began taking effect. Then he shouted twice, "Viva Mexico!"

Viva Mexico!  The leftists and La Raza types will love that.

I say bravo Texas!  That's one murdering rapist bastard we don't have to worry about preying upon our children!  His fate is in God's hands now.

Last week Texas Governor Rick Perry resisted pressure to spare the life of Humberto Leal Garcia, 38, who had raped and murdered a 16-year-old girl, and instead had the convicted rapist/murderer put to death for his grotesque crimes.

Weathering such protests is nothing out of the ordinary for Perry; a strong proponent of the death penalty, he has overseen the execution of more than two hundred “dead men walking.” But what made this instance noteworthy is that the pleas came not just from the typical capital punishment opponents but from international diplomats, judges, military officials, politicians, even the United Nations. On a website devoted to Leal one can find a list of his supporters almost as long as the screw-studded stick he left inside his teen victim’s vagina. The topper was an eleventh-hour appeal from the Obama administration itself.
