Title: Finding Bigfoot
Post by: AmericanPatriot on December 30, 2013, 11:11:24 PM
I'm not sure why, but I watch the this show on Animal Planet.
It may be because I'm easily amused or due to the dearth of decent programming on 200+ channels
This, to me, is more comedy than anything.

These clowns couldn't find their asses if they had both hands on them.

And they only go hunting at night! When it's harder to see anything.
I'm guessing these critters, if they exist, are around in the day, too

I tend to think there is something to the Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti tale.
I don't know what but it goes across all cultures.

Does anyone else watch this or other mindless drivel?

Actually, we have a whole thread dedicated to "reality" tv shows. Would you like me to move this there?

As to your questions...mrs. trapeze loves these things. Not the bigfoot one...her mania is centered around the Alaska themed shows plus she also has an interest in the polygamy show called "Sister Wives." I can't stand that one...it's a slow motion train wreck, in my opinion, and I also believe that the male lead is borderline psychotic.

And as to bigfoot...I think that there is a certain amount of neurotic behavior that goes across all cultures...something where some people just aren't content to settle for the average everyday occurrences and instead they have to conjure up various things that make life more interesting for themselves. I have always subscribed to the Occam's Razor point of view as regards these things...that being that the simplest explanation for things is usually the correct one. In the case of a bigfoot reality show I think that the most likely explanation is that some television producers cast a big net for people that want to be on television at just about any cost, they auditioned a bunch of people for this role and this is what they got.

There are a lot of people that subscribe to a lot a strange urban legends. Some of them believe in all of that stuff. We mostly refer to them as Democrats.

So as not to clutter up this thread I added my Bigfoot story over on my diary page: http://itsaboutliberty.com/index.php?topic=9420.msg119179#msg119179 (http://itsaboutliberty.com/index.php?topic=9420.msg119179#msg119179)

If they ever find Bigfoot...

...it won't be on a TV series named "Finding Bigfoot".

 ::hysterical::

Got that right.

Could there be a ape species out there we don't know about?  Sure.  Missing Link?  Alien beast?  Yeah, uhh...no.  A lot of the clowns on these shows hit the pipe pretty hard I think...
