Title: SWAT/Death Panel Judgement in Arkansas

"The investigation is still ongoing."

Yes, I bet it is, and I bet the action is fast & furious to find an appropriate racial/ethnic/political/ideological backstory to justify a SWAT raid on a 107 year old only armed with a handgun that began as a routine "disturbance" and ended in a hail of bullets.

Well, perhaps it was his Last Stand...and he wanted to beat the ObamaDontCare Death Panels?

Can't wait to see what the "official" narrative is.

It's easy Libertas. If he was Black, the cops were racist; acting stupidly, and looking like Obama's Grandpa. If he was White, then he was a racist; Tea Party redneck gun-nut.

Fortunately, all the cops and swats were able to return safely to their families after dealing with this dangerous situation

Yep.  Because, as we all know, the cops getting home safe at the end of the day is job one.

Even if grandpa has to die in a hail of lead.

I understand the dire situation of a crazed person firing shots through the door.

But this SWAT sh*t has got to stop.

I agree.

Yeah, the overreaction complaints will be quashed by the MFM and sanitized from official police comments...even if guilty of something, the old dude didn't fire until threatened.  I guess hanging back and letting the old coot cool off or fall asleep is too much to ask modern LEOs, besides it's more fun to barge in guns blazing.

Isn't this what we have/had with high speed chases?  Until Fox started showing them and people became more aware of them and the consequences--innocents dying because the cops were chasing purse snatchers?

Common sense Sargeant says...

Quote
"The guy is shooting through the door, we're in danger. What should we do? Officer Jones: ideas; what do we know about the suspect?"

"Well Sarge, we know he's 107."

"107 what?"

"107 years old. He's had 107 birfdays."

"Hoo-boy. 107. OK. Let's fall back and re-assess the situation."

I don't understand how you get to, "107? OK. SWAT-up. Let's blow this mother***er to smithereens."

Because the thought process always begins with "me" and "I".

Sadly I am now  to the point where I see that as unfortunate. I now by default assume that if it is  one man against a SWAT team, that there is no justification for the SWAT team being there, and I am hoping that the lone man can take at least one of the tyrants with them  to their grave.

Was he an armed bank robber? Did he rape anyone at gun point? Was he a danger to society as a whole? No to all of them so why was it necessary to execute an old confused man?

I'm at the point where I felt bad that he missed any of the Bozos he was aiming at. It's a shame to get old because you lose your sight and your aim!

Yup.  I got a real hard time wrapping my head around how these clowns think.  107.  The folks he was arguing with left, he let them leave, clearly psychotic people let their human shields leave so they can blast it out with the law, yeah uhh huh.  All they had to do is wait...  Nah, screw that!  I need to hone my ass-kicking skills, let's go in hard and teach great-great-grandpa a fukkin lesson, yeah!  Go team go!

WTF?!

Your point is well taken although in this case I believe Obama's grandpa was one of those dreaded old white men.
