I'm sure you've heard the expression that democracy is "two wolves and a lamb voting on what's for dinner" but this extends the metaphor.  Sadly it's all too accurate.

I'm trying to find the error in the logic...sadly I am not discovering it.

The Founders knew of course, their writings and statements are clear...this experiment was only going to last so long as the country remained moral in its Judeo-Christian tradition and the populace chose its leaders wisely and quickly acted to arrest deviations from the moral and principled Foundation we began with.  But the people let in populism and greed and soon both parties began to pander to that and one party became better at it than the other and so here we are.

Just as the Founders feared the lowest common denominator won out once the population tipped from moral to immoral and from principled to selfish.

Well, the Founders Reset Button is once again going to be the only viable option left for Liberty-minded folks.

Has that next shot heard around the world been fired yet?
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
