Title: Resting Place of the Portland Class Heavy Cruiser USS Indianapolis located

It's a long way down there...even if people leaked it's location...the depth virtually guarantees no idiots will be disturbing this grave.

Almost 400 died when it was hit, another 500 to the deprivations of the sea...including shark attacks...

I'm sure some of the living survivors (just 22!) and maybe some who have already passed have ashes they'd like to spread over those waters...

All those boys deserve restful peace...   ::USA::

Great read. May the Lord help those who passed and give the survivors a sense of peace. ::praying::

Two books well worth reading concerning the USS Indianapolis;

The first "In Harms Way", by Doug Stanton [mention much earlier in 'books read' section here.
The second "Suicide Submarine" by Yutaka Yokota, of the Japanese Navy / with Joseph D. Harrington
   This is about the 'new' type submarine and the newest torpedo developed by the Japanese which devastated the Inndianapolis causing it to sink so fast. [think kamikaze]
