How can we lure as many proglodytes as possible to Southern California?   ::thinking::   :D

More shaking in the region, this time near El Centro.  Slept through some shaking there a long time ago...of course back then I could sleep and I was up to the wee hours of the morning drinking at the base E-Club with some thirsty Brit paratroopers with wads of greenbacks to spend...naturally I felt it my duty to stay with them and ensure they had a good time.  Glad I didn't have to jump out of a plane that morning...I may have just said to heck with pulling that cord!

I always thought if The Big One hit it would unzip from north to south and make the Gulf of California a lot bigger.  Maybe we'll find out soon?

I've quit getting my hopes up years ago.

Berkerkley epicenter?

Well, sure...just a few demons running around there...karma could be clearing its throat...

Signs of movement were detected years ago, said David Lynch, a geophysicist who has been studying muddy springs for 12 years.

I'm not sure I could stand the excitement of that job.

It's a long wait for a show that might not come in your lifetime...but if it does...front row seat.

Yeah, I got no patience either...

My first day on the job -

Swarm in Fontana...

If a range target...that would be an impressive grouping.

Reminds me of this (from 2015):

I'm still waiting for my beachfront property

Oh, the Cascadia subduction zone...

Only thing about that that bothers me...remotely...y'all closer and probably more worried...is if it triggers any Pacific Northwest volcanic activity...that might rain brimstone on any perfectly brand new beachfront property...

But if the Great Unzip manages not to limit itself to quakes...yeah...could be sitting pretty.

Years ago I thought of buying some land in Nevada in the hopes of obtaining prime beachfront property...but then I thought that was just wishful thinking that will only waste money and disappoint me...
