Title: Jeb Bush: Romney not hispandering enough
Post by: Glock32 on June 11, 2012, 10:16:25 AM
Quote
Republican Mitt Romney will need a “broader” message on immigration to appeal to Hispanic voters who have turned toward Democrats in presidential and other elections, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said today.

“He needs to broaden the message out when talking about immigration, to make it an economic issue as much as it is a question of the rule of law,” Bush said at a breakfast with Bloomberg View in New York. “Have a broader message and have a more intense message.”

I don't get it, on a practical level.  He's emotionally tied to Mexicans through family, but many, many 'hispanics', despite their touted religiosity and "commitment to hard work" come here to leech from "the system", do not assimilate and demand our laws accommodate them, which is why they vote Democrat.

Those people are NEVER going to vote Republican unless they're promised more from them than they can get from the Democrats, as in "social justice", and that will ruin us.

What about this does he not get?

It must be the invisible trap of appearances...even if you don't buy into the full leftard agenda vis-a-vis illegal immigration, the left has cowed those who lack principled critical thinking skills into believing the pandering is still important, being viewed as a racist no matter how absurd the accusation is or how weak on evidence it may be, the mere thought of having that accusation leveled at them turns their poop white.  So, better to pander a little and hope the big mean libnuts don't say a bad thing about you!

Completely illogical unsane thinking!  But, there it is...

A difficulty for conservatives is the Republicans' obvious weakness of intestinal fortitude.
The traditional Mexican culture having a natural dose of graft and the perception that they now will be welcome participants in the Dominant party, the Democrat party, (a whim-some thought in Mexico) and now a reality.  As far as they are concerned Republicans have nothing to offer but words.  When they perceive Republicans as dominant they will listen to the words, otherwise they are of no value.

To the common Mexican people such as Jeb Bush only confirm to them that Republicans are weak.  I can't argue with them on that.

The time has come for Jeb to do like his big brother and shut the hell up.

People like Jeb cannot shut up, it is their mission in life to annoy people.  He's doing a hell of a job of it too!   ::cussing::

Romney should declare himself 1/32 Mexican. Maybe that isn't a tan he is sporting.

Hey Romney, get yourself pictured eating a few tacos.

And if anyone objects, tell them he "feels" 1/32 Mexican, that he identifies with the Mexican experience, and just who are you to object?  He could point to an innovative new burrito folding technique he contributed to a cookbook once as proof.

And to think there was a time not very long ago when I pined for President George W. Bush to demonstrate some of the courage and conservatism of his younger brother.

My, how time and events can change ones perspective.

Didn't Romney's dad have dual citizenship?
If his dad was a Mexican citizen and American law is that one's
race is determined by paternity he could claim... Amigo!

Levin eviscerated both Schmoe and "Jebular" on last evening's show.  One of the pleasure of listening to Levin is hearing him do the shredding so I don't have to.

I thought so too. And I might add he was very detailed in his shreding.
