Halloween in my neighborhood

So my youngest munchkin went treat or treating this eveining.

At one house she saw a BO/Biden sign in the window and thought this could be trouble.

The old lady at that house offered her a bowl of candy saying "Help yourself." But when my daughter looked like she might take two pieces the woman said "Take only one."  Then she laughed and said, "I want there to be enough for everyone."  I kid you not.  (I guess she couldn't have purchased more?)

Signage at the other homes reflected the more generous nature of the occupants.

"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."

Considering it was probably lentils and tofu wafers, I doubt she had anything to worry about.

yes, we had a good laugh.  Those kids were so serious.  "You stole my candy!"  "I worked hard for this!"

Got several compliments from parents on my yard signs tonight. Nice to get a fresh read one who's who.
