Title: An Apocryphal Tale
Post by: Weisshaupt on November 10, 2013, 08:20:27 AM
An Apocryphal Tale.  (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-11-08/guest-post-obamas-socialism-experiment-brought-home)

Quote
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

"We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle."  Winston Churchill

As basic as they all are, why can't the progs understand them or is it they do agree with them except they just don't give a sh*t.

I think asking leftist socialist to admit the abject failure of their ideology would be as difficult as asking Christians to deny the divinity of Jesus. to do either is to destroy the faith and leftists are nothing without their utter belief that big government is their godhead, the source of all good and the pillar upon which they lean for strength.  this isn't about logic, it is about faith.

they are true believers, like the climate changers and islamic fanatics, they have adhered their life to a belief that will not be shaken. we can only hope to not make more of them and short of eliminating them, quarantine them until they die off.
