Cool! I've been using this hardwood charcoal for the grill, and the funny thing is you can it's all sourced from lumber and furniture scrap. Most of the chunks appear to be remnants of molding, they've got the decorative grooves cut into them and everything.

My point is that if you had access to scrap like that you could make enough to heat and cook with in a pinch,but you would need several barrels to make it worth the work.
