Title: Islam & EEOC v America
Post by: charlesoakwood on June 02, 2013, 09:49:23 PM

PEORIA, Ill. (http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2013/06/thank-goodness-obama-eeoc-now-enforcing.html) - Star Transport, Inc., a trucking company based in Morton, Ill., violated federal law by failing to accommodate two employees because of their religion, Islam, and discharging them, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

The lawsuit alleged that Star Transport refused to provide two employees with an accommodation of their religious beliefs when it terminated their employment because they refused to deliver alcohol.

If you're a small photography company, you can't decline to take jobs at gay "weddings" without incurring the wrath of State Almighty. If you're a Muslim, you can refuse to carry alcoholic beverages in your job as a delivery driver; you can refuse to check out customers with dog food or pork products in your job as a grocery store cashier, but no there's no double standards or agenda being advanced here. No sir!

No, none at all. Equal protection under the law seems to have evaded our betters but let's be Frank, we didn't ever think for a moment that they would. The brave new world that they've created for themselves is nothing more than a mass of conflicting thoughts and useless emotions(forgive me Spock). Liberty is choice to run your life as you see fit without harming that of another of the same. Electing to being a sand gernig or queer is a choice an individual makes but forcing another to abide by your choice is the affront to Liberty any way you look at it. ::cussing::

Each and every day, I'm amazed in just how intelligent our Founding Fathers were. I stand in awe at the inspired magnificence of their knowledge on just about everything. Unfortunately for all of us, the academia has somehow chosen to perpetuate the theory that because they loved 250 years ago, their knowledge isn't applicable to the future.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Monday said that members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community will be a special focus of Obamacare because “for too long… [they] were pushed to the side.”

To honor Lesbian, Gay, Bixexual and Transgender Pride Month in June (http://washingtonexaminer.com/sebelius-obamacare-opens-door-wider-to-gays-aids-victims/article/2530995), the administration is drawing attention to new benefits under Obamacare targeted to the LGBT, which Sebelius said have had their access to health care limited and who, she added, have higher rates of tobacco use and are at increased risk for mental health illness.

Yes, but at least they'll be denied Second Amendment rights...being crazy and all...

Obama just said yesterday he wants more coverage for mental health issues...especially for kids...you see, just like the indoctrination of generations into libiocy...he wants to get at them early...raise generations pumped up on happy pills and denied gun ownership...all part of the Libiot Master Plan...

As with the mighty whimper of this economy, I'm quite surprised that more than half the population hasn't flipped already. I know I have but I'm looking forward to the libtards I can splatter with each round.

And here is a timely example of the blatant double standard.  Hat tip to Moonbattery.

In a country where freedom and decency prevail, if homosexuals want special cakes to celebrate their blasphemous parodies of marriages, they would not be in a position to demand the cakes be baked by Christians who are morally obliged not to comply. However, homosexual bullies Dave Mullins and Charlie Craig have enlisted the ACLU to force baker Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado to betray his religious faith in obeisance to their perverted lifestyle.

Mullins, 28, and Craig, 33, filed the discrimination complaint against Phillips after visiting his business in suburban Denver last summer. After a few minutes looking at pictures of different cakes, the couple said Phillips told them he wouldn’t make one for them when he found out it was to celebrate their wedding in Colorado after they got married in Massachusetts. Phillips has said making a wedding cake for gay couples would violate his Christian religious beliefs, according to the complaint.

Needless to say there are any number of bakeries in greater Denver that would bake their cake without objection. This isn’t about cake, but about crushing resistance to a depraved agenda.

Despite the state’s leftward shift and the unending barrage of media propaganda intended to convince the herd of the preposterous precept that sexual perversion is now “normal,” the people of Colorado are not on board with this.

In 2006, voters banned gay marriage. More notably, in 1992, voters approved a ban on municipal antidiscrimination laws to protect [i.e., grant privileged status to] gays, leading some [i.e., liberal ideologues] to brand Colorado a “hate state.”

Here’s what is at stake:

If Phillips loses the case and refuses to comply with the order, he would face fines of $500 per case and up to a year in jail, his attorney said.

“It would force him to choose between his conscience and a paycheck. I just think that’s an intolerable choice,” [his attorney Nicolle] Martin said.

No legitimate government would impose such a choice. But our government has degenerated into a tool for imposing a malignant ideology, so Phillips’s chances don’t look good.

For all the sanctimonious rhetoric about “tolerance,” none is shown toward those unwilling to sacrifice morality to political correctness. This case perfectly illustrates the coercive corruption at the core of the liberal agenda. It is not just wrong, but evil.

So much for no shirt, no shoes, no service. I applaud him for his stance but what he should have done was quadrupled the cost of the cake. Make the cost prohibitive or at least extremely profitable and then donate the profits to a worthy, anti gay marriage cause.

Personally, I would take their money and donate it. As they picked up the cake, I'd have a note attached thanking them for their donation to (whatever) cause or group. No one said it had to taste good either.

Heh, nice idea.  I still hate it that the state has any business telling anybody anything, but as a fallback your idea isn't a bad option.  My first instinct though is to kill anybody attacking me.

Ever watch the movie "The Help"? Remember the cake ingredients?

Honestly, we have to do business in this world. We can be in the world but not of the world. If this is a matter of conscience, then this bakery probably turns down revenue routinely and honestly, it is bad business.  I prefer a different tact when it becomes apparent i'm dealing with a difficult customer or, lets say, someone I don't agree as far as life choices. All I'm saying is custom cakes are expensive and sometimes the flavor isn't as good as a smaller cake.

Take their money. Take more than your fair share.
