Who's still watching? They've tried their best to make me lose interest, with all their PC BS, but old habits die hard and it's still part of my Sunday regimen.
My team remains undefeated at 12-0! It remains to be seen if they'll be able to pull off an undefeated season.
What happened to the Vikings vs. Seahawks? Seattle spanked them like AP's unruly child ::evil::
Just watched your boys choke vs. the Cardinals. WTF were they thinking? Take a shot down the field, and if it doesn't work go ahead and kick the FG and finish the game in OT.
I would be raging if I was a Vikings fan right now. :)
Wow, you guys really must enjoy the punishment to even watch the effeminate NFL football game. Give the defense pistols without sights and two rounds to make it worthwhile watching. I know, blood but hey, most of them came from the 'hood anyway.
Geez Glock, your Panthers not take Atlanta serious? ::whatgives::
They lose to TB next week and Arizona who is hot wins and AZ will get the top seed.

Yeah they really crapped the bed in Atlanta. I don't know what was up with them. They blew their shot at an undefeated season, but as long as they bring their A game to the playoffs it will be alright. A lot of good teams dropped to lesser opponents last week.
Seattle annihilated Arizona today, that was a bit of a surprise.

Yeah they looked good against TB, but who doesn't? They better hope the Vikings beat Seattle (which I am predicting will not happen, that team just beats us like a rag doll) because if Seattle wins they being the low seed would go to you guys. I would think Carolina would prefer the GB/Was survivor.
But hey, the Vikes beat the Pack in Lambeau for the first time in whatever and won the division, so denying them the division and sending their asses on the road is a pretty good consolation even if they get beaten to a pulp next week. (My sister went to to the game with friends, hope she got out OK, I'll have to check on that!)
Our QB is mediocre on a good day and our O-line (especially on pass D) has been vomitous all season. This could be fugly.

Of the NFC playoff teams, the Panthers have played and beat 3 of them during the regular season, including Seattle -- in Seattle. The easier road would probably indeed be the Vikings winning so that the Panthers get the winner of the GB/Washington game. I don't expect that's going to happen, but you never know. All of these teams have dropped games that should have been no-brainers, so "any given Sunday" and all that still applies. Plus I think it's supposed to be like 13 degrees for the Minn game. We'll see how well Seattle travels against that. I would think those conditions dictate a run-heavy offense, which favors AP over a questionable Lynch.
Nice choke at the end by the Vikings kicker.
Also, you guys need a QB. Bridgewater isn't it. Need somebody who can do more than underneath checkdowns.
Yeah that was cool seeing the old guy basically call everyone else a bunch of pussies, what with their coats and gloves. LOL.
Another thing that bugs me about that game, the TE Rudolph, I think he went out of bounds too easily on that reception. Oh well. That game was the Vikings' to lose. The Seahawks won't be facing Teddy Checkdown next Sunday.

And then there were four. Arizona @ Carolina for the NFC title game, New England @ Denver for the AFC title game.
I think the Panthers are going to throttle the Ponies. The conference championships are almost always better than the Stuporbowl.
Well, as a Panthers fan I am of course disappointed. I'm disappointed in the game, and also disappointed in all the bullsh*t that got attached to this team at the end, i.e. the "Panthers are the most unapologetically black team in football", etc. The postgame walk off wasn't a good look for Newton. At the same time I sympathize with anyone who gives the middle finger to the media. They're such duplicitous bastards, whether its politics or sports. I know there's a narrative that he's a sulking poor sport, but having followed this team I think there is an alternate explanation. He viscerally hates losing, and can't not let it show. It's the same when he is doing well. He can't not let that show either. He gave another interview after returning to Charlotte and explains some of that.
But as to the game, yes the Panthers were severely out coached. The offensive coordinator has a dubious reputation in Carolina fandom and he did nothing to dispel that. The O-line is pretty solid in the interior, but the ends are highly suspect. Especially the right end, the end Von Miller was running through like a turnstile. The Panthers offense got rattled early and lost the mental contest before they had lost it physically. The Carolina defense played well and kept them in it up until the end, when the offense's mistakes dug too deep of a hole.
The Panthers should be better next season than they were this season. They're in pretty enviable position right now, compared to a lot of other teams. Now it's time to find another distraction, some other form of entertainment while waiting for SHTF.
Awesome, season is over...now on to other pursuits.

In a playoff sense? Maybe, our new guy has a pretty solid track record of really good regular seasons followed by a complete playoff flop.
So I got that to look forward too...

The strategy is to lure them all to an Air B&B House party & let nature do the rest . . .
Didn't watch - not interested
Didn't watch - not interested
Didn't watch - not interested
We didn't either, but it was difficult to miss the reporting all over the web a la 'except for a li'l strip of cloth, J-Lo would've shown the world her anus'.
Classy. NOT.
My son & I watched the game (good game!). I whipped up a batch a BBQ chicken thighs, horseradish/mustard sauce with some celery, carrots + some mean Mac & Cheese with garlic & Parmesan + Sam Adams 'Cold Snap'.
During half-time I went to my home office to tweak the week's calendar & when I returned to the TV there was a tribute to Kobe Bryant on. I asked my son Greg (a 24 year old college student) what was up. He replied that he was watching the 1/2-time show but that J-Lo was dressed up like a hooker, so he switched to Kobe until the game came back on.
I thought: O.K. - the parenting is working!
;)
