Perhaps this is his way of getting word to Duh Wun that he wants to get his ass out of Afghanistan now.  I hope he is the last to leave!

An update on Ashkhanistan - Some think it is likely the Drug Lords and Taliban will dominate Pushtan area in the south, and given the corruption of the Ashkhan govt and Pak's...I guess at the very least that no-man's land is going to be a reality...what may radiate from there is open to conjecture.

This kills me though - "But would the world tolerate such a situation, in which southern Afghanistan becomes a sanctuary for heroin production and Islamic terrorists?"

Umm, yeah!  They do it all the time!
