Blackmail!   ::laughonfloor::  Someone doesn't need the SS to get to this the most corrupt administration in history!  All one has to do is ring the door bell!

This has been one strange, unsettling fustercluck.

My antipathy for Ø'bozo finds its limits when I think of the possibilities for catastrophe as a result of shenanigans like what has been alluded to. Ø'bozo is truly a world-class POS but he is still our nations president and I don't want him going out that way.

I had the opportunity to work with the Secret Service during the clinton years. It was a thrill for me and my family and a reminder of a time that I'll always treasure. They were just like you see depicted in the movies - ultra professional, extremely good at their jobs, without being flashy. Now I know that boys will be boys, but even the little bit that I've read sounds more like a frat party than bad-azz SS guys on assignment.

*sigh* I guess everything changes.

I remember when the SS rolled into St.Paul when I worked there in the 90's, Bush-I was visiting a magnet school or something.  I didn't get the impression those guys were slacking at all, but that was on duty, not off, so who really knows, but I know nothing untoward ever surfaced from that visit nor has anything unseemly leaked out over the years until this point, so what changed and why in this case I dunno.  But bad apples soiling the whole barrel stinks big time, and the innocents and their families are going to take some pain over this, when it was something that should never had happened.  I have to believe someone in a senior position knew about this, perhaps not detailed specifics, but they sat on it and now it blew up all over the place.  Truly sad.

Have the US government provide the agents with prostitutes in the future.  Problem solved.

All the years of no scandal whatsoever -- and don't think for a minute that during Bush's admin. such wouldn't have been broadcast and embellished -- and now, since '06-'08, there have been several?

No; something ain't right.

I'm thinking the same thing. I don't trust a word that comes out of the media. We all know how they will create the story needed by the Left.

I'm asking myself how this helps Obama. Purge? Getting rid of people who might not be on board with his new "protesting within an area deemed secure by the SS is a felony" rule? Opportunity to move long term SS guys out and replace them with loyalists?

Or, just a sex scandal. Idunno. All I know is that it doesn't seem right to me either.

The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Heck, it's just Sandra Fluke's demands advanced by one degree.  There's even a precedent of sorts. The British NHS paid for a British teenager, with some sort of medical condition, to travel to Amsterdam for sex with a prostitute. It was argued that sexual gratification is a human right, and you know once liberals declare something a right that means it's now the obligation of someone else to pay for it.

Sure sounds like it's just a sex scandal. What is at issue is how it came about. Was it a breakdown in leadership or was it something more sinister? If we were talking about the old Soviet Union or even the new Russia I might be open to the suggestion that it might have an outside influence as the motivator. But since we are talking about Colombia I am not inclined toward that reason.

I would be leaning toward a leadership problem within the SS at this point. This point being wild speculation with no proof.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

guns they sold to the murderers, the Fed throwing bales of money from
helicopters, Solyndra.

It's all cool, Easy, don't be so hot.

News flash: bill Clinton applies to join SS.

What's the big deal over blackmail? I didn't hear blackmail whisperings when Clinton was not having sex with that woman.

Yeah, even my over-sensitive nose has a hard time sensing how professional front-line SS guys can simply be caught with their (cough) pants down and not see such a move coming, but that Jarrett wench is a devious succubus, so anything is possible.  Something doesn't smell right, but I suspect like Trap that a senior agent screwed the pooch on this scandal and failed to nip it and clean house when they had a chance.  I guess we'll find out as this story goes on...

Actually, I am more worried about what those pompous camera-posing jackasses on The Hill are going to do, they better not look to give the Executive any more power or we might just end up having Praetorians loyal only to Duh Wun and not the Constitution!

Hmmm....

I think I see where things might have gotten out of whack!

"The Secret Service is part of the Homeland Security department, having been moved from the Treasury in 2003."

OK, Bush & Congress did that, but Bush did not install Janet Napolitano as head of Homeland Security!  That infamamy belongs to Barack Hussein Obama!

And the latest count - 11 agents, some Marines and 21 hookers.

Reading between the lines of the conversation between the SS agent and
the "escort" he was with it a vision of an arrogant bully accustomed to
intimidating his way.  The lady was not impressed by his "authority" or his
inestimable skill nor was she intimidated by him. Thus, she told him to suck
wind and pay up, when he didn't she upped the anti.

There is an object lesson somewhere in this story.
