Always liked the stuff he did with Richard Pryor, especially Blazing Saddles. RIP Gene.

I was saddened to hear of his passing.
"Timing is everything" in comedy and Gene's comedic timing was impeccable. He was given some truly outstanding roles to play but it was the way he played them that made them timeless.

Young Frankenstein was good too...oh and Teri Garr, yum!
I guess I forgot how long he's been around...was a little surprised at his age, sad about the Alzheimer's though...

Hadn't realized he had gotten to his 80's and had Alzheimer's.
He really was good in Blazing Saddles. Glad they made that movie when they still could.
