D-Day Map
« on: June 08, 2015, 08:08:38 AM »
Good map I found via WRSA of the naval forces deployed on D-Day -

I recall the Augusta being the American flagship (it was featured in "The Longest Day" when Brig. Gen. Teddy Roosevelt met his superior prior to the landings...the real Roosevelt died in July, just a month or so after landing on Utah beach...he is credited with altering plans once ashore that helped secure his objectives and his medal was upgraded from DSC to MOH which was awarded posthumously.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
