Omar Sharif, 83
« on: July 10, 2015, 10:38:04 AM »
Born Michael Shalhoub in Egypt's Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria, Sharif was the son of Christian Syrian-Lebanese parents.

Sharif died of a heart attack in a Cairo hospital, his longtime agent, London-based Steve Kenis, and the head of Egypt's Theatrical Arts Guild, Ashraf Zaki, told The Associated Press. The actor had been suffering from Alzheimer's.

Interesting character, some early success then he kind of got typecast.

Dr. Zhivago!
To me, one of the best movies of all time.

Of course, I had bad teen age lust for Julie Christy in that one

Dirty old man!

In 1965 I was wearing big-boy skivvies and pants for only the second year!  Lust was probably a few years off yet...and while I don't recall age/year with clarity...I know Barbara Eden (I Dream Of Jeannie) was probably "it"!

 ;D

I'm apparently older than you.

I thought it was later than 1965.

I saw it at the drive in and I drove, so it would have been later for me because I didn't drive until 67

But, yes, Julie Christy was beautiful in that movie

Funny how that happened only after a lifetime of boozing and defiling women, eh?

He still thought Che was a retard.  Points for that, at least.

RIP.

Yes, Mass murderer Roof, thought Al Sharpton was a pos so he gets points for that though we can strongly disagree with everything else his short life accomplished. Just saying...oh and Mussolini got the italian trains to run on time ::unknowncomic::
