Hottest place in the country, at noon May 6.

The north shore of Minnesota.  Two Harbors and Beaver Bay are 90 degrees, just ahead of a cold front.  The next warmest, far southern Texas in the upper 80's.

Meanwhile, the mountains in North Carolina had snow last night.

::snoshovel:: ...and they're predicting 3-5" of snow next week in the Southern 1/3 of MN. Just in time for the fishing season opener.

Remind me why I live in this place. Infested with Leftists and queers, and the worst f***ing weather in the country.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

You mean northern Minnesota, perhaps?  I've never seen more than a dusting, this late in the year.
