2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power & of love and of calm, a well-balanced mind, discipline and self-control.

My take.  Draft dodger who changed his name to that of the most prolific slaver of all time.   ::thinking::

I was always sorta conflicted about Ali. His boxing was impressive, his attitude was cocky - but then he could walk the walk. His decision to refuse selective service was a turning point for me. I lost interest in him after that because ho no longer meant anything to me.

RIP

Me too.  Admired his boxing skill, and still to this day I cannot believe Foreman didn't kick his ass...that's about when I started seriously considering something funny was going on with boxing...he will always be Cassius Clay to me, Muhammad Ali is merely the cult name he chose to avoid serving his country...which having chose not to do I in turn chose to regard him as a non-citizen.
