Reading & listening (via the You.Version app) to the book of Nehemiah this morning.

Nehemiah was tasked with rebuilding the broken wall of Jerusalem (which we can turn into an analogy for either the actual border wall or the rebuilding of America, post Obama). Sanballat, Nehemiah's enemy/nemesis was determined to stop the rebuilding & can be likened to the progressive opposition.

Read the first 4-5 chapters & notice the imagery: swords, fortification, unity & the need to shut out the enemy's distractions necessary to prevail. Many built with 1 hand while keeping a sword in the other - & each one built the portion of the wall in front of his own house/land.

Biblical wisdom for modern times: We are doing a great work & cannot come down!
