I'd be interested to know who left the breadcrumb at SDA. Anyone wanna confess? I've never visited there before just a moment ago. Looks like a bookmarker.

In what part of Canada do you reside? I ask because nearly all of my family lives there.

That would be moi.  And yes, SDA is a great site.  I recommend everyone check it out often.  It's part of my daily rotation.

I have just retired after 32 years in the fire service.  I was career Fire Chief in Northern Ontario, (north of lake superior) in a town called Marathon...  40 below in January.  Then moved to the Niagara Region of Ontario in 1999,and was a Fire Chief there for 12 years.   I'm originally from central north Ontario.

I've lived in Alberta and Quebec during my time in the military, (infantryman)

That's about it.

I still have family up in Montreal,is it true that gas is over $6.00 a U.S. gallon?

John Florida, it just went up today to $1.34 a liter. Which is roughly a quart.  Our dollars are at about par..  this price is Niagara region, my youngest daughter lives in Marathon in northern Ontario, add 10 to 15 cents a liter to the price.   The problem is, 85%  of the price is taxes., and the Ontario Premiere  is an effing greenie, and wants to turn Ontario into a colder version of California.

Trapeze, check out the Wildrose party during the upcoming election, they're pretty libertarian, plus that, Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan party has the lefties in a dither in eastern Canada.  We have high hopes for them both.  Its great country out west, I'd move but my wife won't.
