the making of an AK magazine
« on: July 27, 2015, 02:54:37 PM »
This is a pretty neat video showing the making of an AK magazine.  This company is in Bosnia and making brand new mags with the same material and process used for the Cold War milspec mags.

Man, they got some old Cold War lookin' machines.  But ya know what?  You don't always need the latest and greatest to make good stuff.  The spot-welder was probably the newest machine they have.  But they get it done.  And I would think a place like Bosnia that knows what not being armed feels like when bad guys come appreciates a right to bear arms...probably more than many ignorant Americans.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

Yeah, a lot of that equipment has to be Soviet machinery.  It's a production line from the Cold War, only difference is they're now churning them out for the commercial market rather than the glorious People's Republic.

You can get these mags for about $11 each.  There's another video where they drive over them with a tracked APC, load them up and fire them.  Rugged SHTF mags.  I'm on an ammo and mag buying spree now.  A case a month and several mags.  You just know they're preparing a new line of attack on the 2nd.
