Federal Judge: Mt. Soledad Cross Must Come Down

A cross atop Mount Soledad in California is an unconstitutional religious display on government land and must come down, a federal judge in San Diego ruled late Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Larry Burns ordered the cross, which honors veterans, must be removed within 90 days -- a decision that could result in the case being sent back to the U.S. Supreme Court. Burns immediately stayed his order pending an expected appeal.

The original lawsuit was filed in 2006 by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of the Jewish Veterans of the United States of American and several other Southern California residents.

What's next? Chisel off all the crosses on and for grave markers, even those in Arlington and other National Cemeteries? Remove crosses from churches? Or perhaps just eliminate all Christians.

Call for armed volunteers, tell the state to shove it!  Have other volunteers bring food and water and port-o-potties.

This is illegal and violates religious liberty...make them kill to take it down.

Then we'll see what THEY believe in!

Though I am not religious, and vacillate between atheism and agnosticism, this sort of thing pisses me off. There can be no denying the religious influence on our nations development and history. This pos judge is erasing our heritage
Which I think happens to be a pretty good one.

It doesn't matter if you are religious or not. What they're doing is in violation of our Constitution, so if you believe in our nation and it's ways of life, then your position is already cast.
