...there is still about 3m of the bastards running around! And look at England, percentage wise they are still somewaht small, but in number almost as many as us with less than 1/5th our population, if we continue down their road we'll have 15m screaming jihadis surrounding us in no time.
And we have to contend with forces driving more and more denominations and congregations toward apostasy...
And then there is the secular media and their progressive anti-Christian masters...
And the rot of Hollywood and Big Entertainment and Madison Avenue Ad wizzards continually pulling the culture down...
And the sqweamish crony corporatist culture that kow-tow's to the outliers and marginalizes and stifles Christian thought and practice...
The progressive bullies in the youth indoctrination centers to overcome...

In all seriousness, the war on Christians is not new. Progressives have been pushing it for decades. I just pray I've done a good enough job rearing my children for them to see what's going on so they can prepare. I can tell them, but if they actually comprehend is the question.

The reality is that the American experiment produced a good one hundred and fifty years of relative peace and tolerance for Christians (in the US). Which if you look at the two thousand or so years of Christianity, a very rare and unique period.
Generally governments and society today and throughout most of history are outright hostile, have official persecution or at least are discriminatory towards practicing Christians. Even if Christians are the majority! The Roman empire was majority Christian long before the Roman government finally gave up persecution. China is becoming increasingly Christian in spite of being it being basically illegal.
Even in periods when "churches" were the "government" it wasn't good. If you were the wrong kind of Christian, or you didn't like the government co-opting the faith to retain power you faced plenty of persecution.
Here in the US we are going from the tolerant period into a discriminatory one. Whether or not the US government becomes all the way hostile remains to be seen. It will likely collapse before it gets to that point.
